600 Followers! Milestone post + recommended follows for November + musings on the future of the platform

Woot! I really appreciate all the support I've been getting , and while I may have lost a few followers because of the topics I've focused on lately - they've been replaced by a flood of new users :)

As of midday on the 28th of November my stats are at:
Followers 600 , Posts 1800 , Following 993 , Steem Power : 6531.735 , Rep 65

This table is thanks to steemwhales.com and it shows my above average follower growth over the last week or so - mostly brand new users coming via my pizzagate posts

Strangely I think I'm more motivated by and proud of my growing reputation here, I just cracked rep 65 recently and I'm making progress towards 66!

My recommended follows for November 2016

I'm going to start a new tradition, every time I do a milestone post (rare-ish) I'll strive to include a list of recommended follows and an example post for each. I don't want anyone to feel left out or offended - don't forget I'm already following almost 1000 people here and its just not practical (or useful) to list them all :P

Musings on the future of the platform

I've been here since June, it kinda feels like longer then 4 months already.
In this time I've watched the platform change a lot, as we try to nail the right balance of incentives/disincentives to turn steemit into the ultimate decentralized blockchain-based publishing platform and social network.

Most importantly - thanks to the repeated censorship by reddit, twitter and even 4/8chan I think more people are waking up to the value of having their work on a blockchain instead of a centralized database.

We have more major changes on the horizon, and I feel that with those changes in mind Steem is currently seriously undervalued . I've felt that way for a while, but now we have fundamental changes to the inflation rate and lockin period it's even more obvious we shouldn't have dumped this far..

I can't promise prices will only go up from here, as we still clearly have some bad-actors in the system that just want to dump it all and move on as soon as they can.

This is a good thing, instead of hanging around dumping for 2 years we can be rid of them in 3 months and they'll redistribute their Steem to a new generation of mini-whales :)

Price really shouldn't be the focus anyway - at the end of the day, even if I never got another vote again and/or price went to $0.0001 - I would still be here posting anyway, just like I have been on twitter and facebook for free for years :)

Here's to my next 600 followers! :D
