New account creations per reaching all time high! But posts & votes per day are dropping.. Bots ?

Todays account creation chart shows 2527 new accounts created today so far !



But the rest of the charts don't look so inspiring..

I'm not sure what to make of this, is this all just mass bot registrations ?
I would have expected more of a rise in post activity after all of the recent promotion steemit has gotten..

Whats going on ? What do you think ?
