I made a simple userscript that modifies the css styling on steemit and stops flagged posts from being grayed-out and hard to read while browsing.
It's completely free and easy to audit - heres the whole source code:

This is a purely aesthetic change that stops you having to hover posts before being able to easily read the title and preview.
You will still need to click "show post" and "show images" buttons.
To install on firefox
- First install the Stylish firefox extension
- Once installed (and you've restarted firefox) you'll see a small "S" icon on the address bar, click it and select "manage user styles"
- At the top of the screen select "install from URLS" and paste in this link :
