Hello Steemians! Welcome to my blog! Today, I will tell you guys about my opinion in what are the best and trending majors in college. It's 2018 and there are many new majors that we did not have 30-40 years ago. If you're interested in this, please upvote and read along! It's short and informative. When I say 'Top 5', I mean the majors that earn decent amount of money per year in the US as well as high demand after graduation. 5. Business Analytics Business Analytics major focuses on the analysis of business trends, profit trends, or any trends that need to be analyzed. They also lead the business cases. 4. Information Systems This major focuses on the back-end and front-end of the system. It aims to focus on how to build the system and also database management. Programming skills will be taught so 3. Computer Science Third is still computer science, the classic major. Computer scientists work along with other IT professionals. They usually do a lot of artificial intelligence (AI) or robotics, but also any sort of programming. They can be programmers as well. 2. Software Engineering Software engineer major is the most popular engineer majors right now, even more popular than electrical and chemical. They deal with some development such as develop the network or develop the system. Why is it so important? Because we all need software for computers, tablets, or phone. 1. Data Science Surpriseeeeeeeee! It is not medical or lawyer. Data scientists are on high demand right now. This major ranges from machine learning to data mining. Many large companies and small companies are in need of data scientists. If you ask why do companies need data scientists, then the answer would be that they form insights from data for the companies and that could lead to better understanding of the data. To conclude, all these 5 majors have to do with IT. We are in the society that is focused mainly on IT. Doing any IT-related major would be a plus and a high demand in the market for sure.
