Last week, I was ecstatic to find that one of the pumpkin plants crawling in the yard had begun to bear fruit. Naturally, I documented the little thing by taking its picture, looking forward to monitoring it until its maturity, as it was our first time growing it.

However, I was dismayed to discover a few days ago that it was no longer there. Not a sign of it anywhere. Perhaps the neighbor's dogs stepped on it, and it fell somewhere? Maybe not. A rat must have made it its dinner. Darn! That was the first fruit, and there are no other flowers yet, so we might have to wait a bit longer for the little buds to develop and produce new ones. Hmmm... me thinking... we should build a fence or something, to protect them from the intruders.🤔 Let me ponder that later, for we are heading to the other town to visit the fam. Dad is back in the doctor's care, just a day after his release. He was in two emergency rooms within 12 hours. They were on the way to the city when he cried out in pain. Some tests (x-ray, ultrasound, etc) were done again, but the results in both institutions are conflicting. Crazy, huh? It's good enough for me to see them growing week by week.
