Hola amigos de #hive seguimos aún de viaje por la ciudad capital de Venezuela, Caracas, andamos en búsqueda de una solución al problema de salud de mi esposo, por lo que hoy acudimos nuevamente a consulta al centro médico docente la Trinidad, uno de los mejores centros del país en materia de salud, sobre todo que son pioneros en tratamiento de neurocirugía.

Luego de todo el vía crucis vivido todos estos meses en Cumaná Estado Sucre-Venezuela ciudad donde vivimos, llegar hasta este lugar nos parece una verdadera bendición, no solo se nota en la atención, sino que también se nota en la forma como ven ellos la medicina, al contarle al neurocirujano todo lo que hemos atravesado estos meses, quedó impactado, y no podía entender cómo habían dejado pasar tanto tiempo este problema, el día de hoy el doctor Abbadi uno de los mejores de Latinoamérica se reunió con nosotros, examinó nuevamente a mi esposo y revisó sus exámenes.

Desde un inicio nos dijo que debía aplicar un tratamiento directo a la columna con el fin de aliviar el dolor y la inflamación que tiene, este tiene un costo de 250$ por sesión y son 6 sesiones y hoy mismo le aplicaron la número 3, mi esposo dice que fue algo dolorosa, al final está sintiendo que bajó la intensidad del dolor, así que doy gracias a Dios por este regaló, vamos viviendo un día a la vez, una batalla ganada el día de hoy, así que estamos felices, nos parece mentira que tan solo en 3 sesión de tratamiento y ya se ven los resultados.

Por razones obvias no pude tomar fotografías del proceso, ya que no me permitieron el acceso a esa área de la clínica porque es en el quirófano, y la verdad no me importa porque al final lo verdaderamente importante es que sentimos que ya dimos el primer gran paso para la recuperación de Gilliatt, aún falta mucho camino por recorrer, pero sentimos que por fin vamos en la dirección correcta.

Mañana el doctor va a discutir el caso de Gilliatt en consejo médico con su otros 7 colegas se discutirá cuál es el procedimiento más acorde a su situación y al grado de la lesión y por fin lograr la recuperación que tanto anhelamos, las horas que nos faltan para saber que decidirán serán quizás las más largas de mi vida, pero teniendo la certeza de que ahora sí estamos en buenas manos. Estamos atentos a lo que dirá el doctor mañana cuando nos llame a su consultorio.

Realmente me encuentro con una carga de sentimientos bien complejos, porque por un lado estoy feliz de haber llegado a un sitio donde se nos trata como seres humanos y por otro lado bastante preocupada de estar lejos de nuestra casa, con recursos bien limitados y en un sitio tan costoso, y sobre todo sin la ayuda de nadie.

Seguimos en la lucha para lograr que Gilliatt pueda recuperar su vida de hace un año, no está fácil, pero seguimos acá dispuestos a lograrlo, ya hoy más feliz que nunca porque luego de la terapia número 3 por fin pudo ponerse de pie y dejar la silla de ruedas, no de manera permanente pero si dió pasos, y pudo ponerse de pie en la terapia, incluso se levantó de la silla de ruedas en la entrada de la clínica para que le sacara una foto por acá se las dejo.

Claro no puede abusar y debe seguir su reposo y tratamiento hasta que se le practique la operación, pero no les voy a mentir en estos momentos me siento tan sola, desprotegida y sobretodo vulnerable, quisiera tener los recursos económicos para cubrir todos los gastos, pero no es así, vivimos en un país donde la medicina si es privada es cara y si es pública es mala, llevo un tiempo pidiendo apoyo por aca por el ecosistema y bueno que les puedo decir, me siento Gasparín, de igual modo sigo trabajando para lograr mi meta.

Tengo momentos buenos y otros en los que me derrumbó, pero recuerdo que soy el apoyo de mi esposo y dibujó una sonrisa en mi rostro, seco mis lágrimas y me monto mi coraza y mi escudo y sigo adelante, ya son 10 días fuera de casa, y han sido un sube y baja de emociones, espero de corazón que podamos lograr la operación pronto, por ahora como les dije vivimos un dia a la vez, gracias a los que siempre están al pendiente, a los que siempre me brindan una palabra de aliento y apoyo, a todos ustedes mil gracias.

After all the way of the cross lived all these months in Cumaná State Sucre-Venezuela city where we live, arriving to this place seems to us a real blessing, not only it is noticeable in the attention, but also in the way they see medicine, when we told the neurosurgeon everything we have gone through these months, he was shocked, and could not understand how they had let this problem pass so long, today Dr. Abbadi one of the best in Latin America met with us, he examined my husband again and reviewed his exams.

From the beginning he told us that he had to apply a direct treatment to the spine in order to relieve the pain and inflammation that he has, this has a cost of $250 per session and there are 6 sessions and today they applied the number 3, my husband says it was somewhat painful, at the end he is feeling that the intensity of the pain decreased, so I thank God for this gift, we are living one day at a time, a battle won today, so we are happy, it seems incredible that only in 3 treatment sessions and we can already see the results.

For obvious reasons I could not take pictures of the process, as I was not allowed access to that area of the clinic because it is in the operating room, and I really don't care because in the end what is really important is that we feel that we have taken the first big step towards Gilliatt's recovery, there is still a long way to go, but we feel that we are finally going in the right direction.

Tomorrow the doctor will discuss Gilliatt's case in medical council with his other 7 colleagues to discuss which is the most appropriate procedure for his situation and the degree of the injury and finally achieve the recovery we are longing for, the hours left to know what they will decide will be perhaps the longest of my life, but having the certainty that now we are in good hands. We are attentive to what the doctor will say tomorrow when he calls us to his office.

We are still in the fight to get Gilliatt to recover his life from a year ago, it is not easy, but we are still here ready to achieve it, and today happier than ever because after therapy number 3 he was finally able to stand up and leave the wheelchair, not permanently but he took steps, and could stand up in therapy, he even got out of the wheelchair at the entrance of the clinic to take a picture here I leave them.

Of course he can not abuse and must continue his rest and treatment until the operation is performed, but I'm not going to lie at this time I feel so alone, unprotected and above all vulnerable, I wish I had the economic resources to cover all expenses, but it is not so, we live in a country where medicine if it is private is expensive and if it is public is bad, I've been asking for support here for the ecosystem and well what can I say, I feel Gasparín, anyway I continue working to achieve my goal.
