Me da mucho gusto estar una vez más con ustedes, desde este espacio de ["**Letras inspiradoras**"](https://ecency.com/hive-139925/@syllem/una-nueva-columna-ha-llegado), compartiendo viviencias, pensamientos, nuestra parte humana e incluso vulnerable, porque así como somos fuertes y valientes, también tenemos nuestros momentos de fragilidad. Cada una de nuestras facetas nos hace únicas e inigualables, pienso que nuestro creador no se equivocó en nuestro diseño, con una amplia gama de matices incorporados, que nos permite apreciar cada detalle que nos rodea y vivir más intensamente. Sin más, paso a contarles un poco de mi experiencia de la última semana, que me me hizo pensar en la palabra vulnerabilidad.

Without further ado, I will tell you a little of my experience of the last week, which made me think about the word vulnerability.

Hace una semana mi hija comenzó a sentirse mal, al punto que fuimos a parar a la emergencia de un hospital. Como no mejoraba, fue hospitalizada. Yo había estado antes allí, pero nunca por tanto tiempo. En el día yo estaba junto a mi hija, en la noche mi esposo se quedaba con ella. La razón por la que se era él quien permanecía con ella en el turno nocturno, básicamente se debía a mi bajo nivel de tolerancia a todo lo que se vive allí. Aunque mi hija llegó deshidratada, era la paciente menos grave de todos. Cuatro días después, el pasado lunes, fue dada de alta, luego de casi rogarle a los médicos que nos dejaran ir.

A week ago my daughter started to feel sick, to the point that we went to the emergency room of a hospital. When she didn't get better, she was hospitalized. I had been there before, but never for so long. During the day I was with my daughter, at night my husband stayed with her. The reason he was the one who stayed with her on the night shift was basically due to my low tolerance level for everything that goes on there. Although my daughter arrived dehydrated, she was the least severe patient of all. Four days later, last Monday, she was discharged, after almost begging the doctors to let us go.

Pero en ningún momento dejé de agradecer a Dios, por el hecho de que nuestra princesa tenía la atención médica y el tratamiento que necesitaba. Al llegar a casa todos estábamos felices. El buen ánimo que la invadió, le permitió recuperarse más rápido. A veces las cosas no son como las esperamos, pero aún en esos momentos, la misericordia de Dios está presente. El día miércoles le fue practicada una gastrocopia y fue mi esposo quien estuvo con ella durante el procedimiento, mientras yo estaba en la sala de espera. Otra vez, no fui capaz de enfrentar ese escenario. Entonces me sentí tan vulnerable.

But at no time did I stop thanking God for the fact that our princess had the medical attention and treatment she needed. When we got home we were all happy. The good spirits that invaded her, allowed her to recover faster. Sometimes things are not as we expect them to be, but even in those moments, God's mercy is present. On Wednesday she had a gastrocopy and it was my husband who was with her during the procedure while I was in the waiting room. Again, I was not able to cope with that scenario. I felt so vulnerable then.

Lo ocurrido me hizo pensar que no soy tan fuerte como intento parecer, más de una vez quería salir corriendo y más de una vez, salí corriendo. A veces es necesario estar conscientes de nuestro límites y tomar una dosis de humildad. Sí, soy capaz de lograr muchas cosas, pero aún a mis años, hay otras que me superan. También me sentí agradecida porque mi esposo está con nosotros, porque mis hijos cuentan con su padre; porque ambos podemos estar para ellos, cada uno desde sus capacidades. Ya mi hija está mucho mejor, pero sin duda, lo que vivimos me hizo madurar un poco más, un proceso que nunca termina, al menos mientras respiremos.

What happened made me think that I am not as strong as I try to appear, more than once I wanted to run away and more than once, I ran away. Sometimes it is necessary to be aware of our limits and take a dose of humility. Yes, I am capable of accomplishing many things, but even at my age, there are others that surpass me. I also felt grateful because my husband is with us, because my children have their father; because we can both be there for them, each in our own capacities. My daughter is much better now, but undoubtedly, what we lived through made me mature a little more, a process that never ends, at least as long as we breathe.
