My First Sightings of some beautiful Loon birds at the lake!

Welcome to another issue of my photography blog!
I had a great weekend away at the cabin this past week. The weather was pleasant, and the wildlife was out. The bugs were especially bad though... lots of black flies and mosquitoes. I was lucky enough to capture some cool photos for you all on Steemit though, despite being chewed off and on by the bugs.
Loons are one of my favorite creatures to see at the lake. They remind me of some kind of fresh water penguin. It is always cool to watch them looking for fish!

Aren't they beautiful birds?
It's cool to see them in pairs like that. Maybe later this spring we will get to see some babies like last year!

They hung out and searched the area for some fish for a bit...

It is often hard to get some decent photos of them because they often don't come very close to shore or near people.
Thankfully, they were kind enough to let me snap a few photos on this day!
