As I approached the bank of the pond, I heard several splashes. The frogs jumped into the water, but one of them, the bravest, stayed to look at me. So I looked at it too, and here's a picture of it.

Na jednu stranu, motýli jsou překrásná stvoření, které hýří barvami. Na druhou stranu, jejich zvyky jsou někdy podivné. Hodně druhů motýlů má v oblibě různé páchnoucí a nechutné věci, pot, hnis a podobně. Tato babočka admirál si pochutnávala na nahnilém ovoci.

Along with the butterfly, the hornets also enjoyed the fruit. People usually fear hornets. No wonder, these insects look very threatening and combative. In fact, hornets are very peaceful, and if you don't tease them, they won't hurt you.

Společně s motýlem si na ovoci pochutnávaly i sršně. Sršňů se lidi obvykle bojí. Není divu, tento hmyz vypadá velmi výhruužně a bojovně. Ve skutečnosti jsou sršni velmi mírumilovní a pokud je člověk nedráždí, tak mu nic neudělají.

The last pictures are of a Speckled Wood Butterfly. If it hadn't moved, I probably wouldn't have noticed it. Its camouflage protects it perfectly, blending in with the dry leaves in plain sight.

Na posledních fotkách je motýl okáč. Kdyby se nepohnul, určitě bych si ho ani nevšiml. Jeho ochranné zbarvení ho dokonale chrání, při běžném pohledu úplně splývá se suchým listím.
