# ¡Bienvenidos a mi rinconcito en Hive! Confieso que no me gustaba comer zanahoria cruda. Estaba acostumbrada a comerla en guisos, sopas, ensalada rusa y la única forma que la comía cruda, era rayada en una ensalada que lleva repollo, cebolla, mayonesa y, por supuesto, zanahoria. Por otro lado, mi esposo, Nando, cuando tiene hambre y la comida aún no está lista, agarra una zanahoria y se la come como si fuera una banana. A él le encanta comer zanahoria cruda, lo que me lleva a concluir que por esa razón goza de tan buena salud intestinal lo que me hizo consciente de que yo debía aprender a comer zanahoria cruda, ya que ***el año pasado me hicieron unos estudios del estómago y me detectaron unos pólipos que gracias a Dios, son benignos***. Después de recibir ese diagnóstico, le pregunté a la doctora si había que operarme y me respondió que no, pues todo dependía de mí, de mi estilo de vida y mis hábitos alimenticios; debía ser más consciente de lo que comía y monitorear de qué manera esos alimentos me afectaba a nivel estomacal. Afortunadamente, ésto cambió cuando conseguí una receta de **Ensalada de Zanahoria con Ajonjolí** que amé desde que la probé y ahora la preparo con frecuencia y disfruto tanto de su sabor y su crocancia. Pero, lo mejor de esta ensalada de zanahoria es que me ayuda con la digestión y también,me ayuda a prevenir la acidez estomacal. Si eres de esas personas que siente algún malestar del estómago, te sugiero que pruebes esta deliciosa ensalada. Te aseguro que la vas amar tanto como yo y sentirás un gran alivio en tu estómago. ## Vas a necesitar los siguientes ingredientes: • 2 o 3 zanahorias bien lavadas. • 2 cdas de aceite de oliva o de sésamo. • 1 cda de vinagre de manzana o blanco. • El zumo de un limón. • 2 cdas de salsa de soya. • ½ cdita de sal o al gusto. • Un puñado pequeño de cilantro. • 2 cdas de ajonjolí tostados. • Pimienta al gusto (Opcional). ## Adicional: • Pela papas ## Preparación: Pela las zanahorias. # Welcome to my little corner on Hive! I confess that I did not like to eat raw carrots. I was used to eating it in stews, soups, Russian salad and the only way I ate it raw was grated in a salad that had cabbage, onion, mayonnaise and, of course, carrot. On the other hand, my husband, Nando, when he is hungry and the food is not ready yet, he grabs a carrot and eats it as if it were a banana. He loves to eat raw carrots, which leads me to conclude that this is why he enjoys such good intestinal health and this made me aware that I should learn to eat raw carrots, since last year I had some studies done on my stomach and they detected some polyps which, thank God, are benign. After receiving this diagnosis, I asked the doctor if I had to have surgery and she answered me no, because everything depended on me, on my lifestyle and my eating habits; I had to be more aware of what I eat and how these foods affect my stomach. Fortunately, this changed when I got a recipe for **Carrot Salad with Sesame** that I loved since I tried it and now I prepare it frequently and enjoy its flavor and crunchiness so much. But, the best thing about this carrot salad is that it helps me with my digestion and also, it helps me to prevent heartburn. If you are one of those people who feel some stomach discomfort, I suggest you try this delicious salad. I assure you that you will love it as much as I do and you will feel a great relief in your stomach. ## You will need the following ingredients: • 2 or 3 well-washed carrots. • 2 tablespoons of olive or sesame oil. • 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar or white vinegar. • Juice of one lemon. • 2 tablespoons of soy sauce. • ½ teaspoon salt or to taste. • A small handful of cilantro. • 2 tablespoons of toasted sesame seeds. • Pepper to taste (Optional). ## Additional: • Potato peeler. ## Preparation: Peel the carrots.
