It is a sad story. A story about a young Govt. employee at BGB (Border Guard Bangladesh), who decided to kill himself due to lack of financial resources. Details are not important from my point of view, what is important is the fact that a young person, after 7 years of a Govt. service doesn’t have enough money. That obviously raises a couple of question to me: 1. What is the monthly salary range for a BGB employee? Answer: 8,000 -24,000 BDT ($93-$280) 2. Why and how can a young person be so frustrated just because of lack of funds that he has to kill himself? Answer: Unknown I guess google can’t provide answers to everything! But let us think about for a few minutes on the facts that google can provide the answer to. That salary range is real as I got in from an actual job advertisement from 2020. If I round up the midpoint, the monthly salary is around $200 of around 17,000 BDT. Yes, there could be some additional benefits but really? Govt. expect people to maintain a family with that money and still expect them to be honest. Possible, but requires tremendous self-control, don’t you think? My sadness is the fact that there are people out there who have lost hope and are willing to do anything, and yet there are things we can do here at hive and nobody knows about it. Obviously there are many things you can argue on the flip side, believe me I am aware of them. But have you tried to have a conversation with a friend? No, not about blogging, but the existence of this ecosystem, NFT, art, gaming platform, coding platform, trading platform and above all just a place to hang out. Why do you think people are not interested? I think I know the answer, but I am trying to get the answer for you folks. Now I am talking to the regulars here. From my point of view, one of the critical responsibilities each of you have is to ‘pay it forward’. You are already successful. You earn way more than $200/month from hive. If that is a yes, it is your responsibility to teach a soul or two about how they can earn $200/month. It is a piece of cake! But don’t teach a person who is already earning $200/month, teach one who is not. Also be careful to make them contribute. Don’t ask them to post junk that no one is interested in. Have them interact with others. If they are interested in gaming, let them do gaming. If they are interested in trading, let them do trading. Whatever, it is to let them contribute something and enrich us in the process. That is paying it forward. Please don’t be complacent and stay inside your box. You know your way around and pulling $200/month ‘blogging’ doesn’t impress me at all. Little tohan was busy saving the world in his favorite Superman costume. He woke up when he heard his mother screaming. Tohan! Get up. This is your first day at school, and of course, you don’t want to be late, do you? The screams bothered him from the dream of saving the world. With his little tiny hands outstretched and comforting himself under the blanket, tohan evoked the excitement of his first day at school. It quietly depressed her; she looked at tohan, who was now afraid to enter an unfamiliar place without his mother, completely alienating him. She consoled him by saying that his teacher would be waiting for him inside and that she would take good care of him and that all he had to do was obey her and not disrespect her. With a bit of courage and inspiration, tohan stepped up and walked towards his class, where he found his teacher, who took him to class. Mom was deeply concerned about him because this was the first time she had let her child go away from her. She wondered if he would feel comfortable in class; also, various questions were peeping into her head. She sat in the car for 4 hours during school and prayed for the comfort of her child. Then at noon, the school bell rang, and she hurried to the gate. She waited patiently for her son as the students gradually left the class. Finally, after waiting 15 minutes remaining and stressing for her son at the gate, he showed up! Yes, it was him; tohan was tired and sleepy. He ran up to her and hugged her tightly, feeling safe in the best arm in the world. She knew he had missed her and had tears rolled down her cheeks for affection. She kissed him on the cheeks, took the bag from him, and went to the car and back home. It was her first day in his absence. ---- ### ***""জীবন""*** _{*- @riazud*} আমরা অনেকেই অনেক সময় আমাদের আশেপাশের মানুষদের দিকে তাকায় এবং হয়তবা তাদের জীবন নিয়ে ভাবতে শুরু করি, যে তারা হয়ত ভালো নেই, তারা মনে হয় তাদের জীবনকে সর্বোত্তমভাবে উপভোগ করতে জানে না, তারা মনে হয় তাদের জীবন নিয়ে খুঁশি না বা তারা মনে হয় প্রকৃতির আসল সৌন্দর্য উপভোগে ব্যর্থ। যদিও আগে আমি জিনিসগুলোকে এভাবেই ভাবতাম। মনে করতাম পৃথিবীতে ভালো থাকার এবং উপভোগের জিনিসগুলো মনে হয় সবার ক্ষেত্রে একই। আসলে বিষয়টি মোটেও এমন নয়। পৃথিবীতে যেমন পৃথক পৃথক দৃষ্টিভঙ্গি এবং মনোভাবের মানুষ রয়েছে ঠিক তেমনি সুনির্দিষ্ট কোনো জিনিসের প্রতি তাদের ভালো লাগা বা মন্দ লাগার বিষয়টিও পৃথক রয়েছে। একজনের সাথে যে অন্যজনের ভালো বা মন্দ লাগার জিনিস মিলতেই হবে এমন কখনই হয় না। আপনি একবার আপনার প্রিয় একবন্ধুর কথা চিন্তা করে দেখতে পারেন, যে আপনার খুব কাছের কিন্তু তার সাথে কি আপনার কোনো জিনিস ভালো বা খারাপ লাগার বিষয়টি লাগার বিষয়টি হবহু একই? অবশ্যই না। ধরে নেই আপনি একজন প্রকৃতি প্রেমিক, ঘুরে ঘুরে প্রকৃতির সৌন্দর্যময় মুহুর্তগুলো আপনি আপনার ক্যামেরাবন্দি করে, আলস সময়গুলোতে সেই ছবিগুলোয় চোখ চোখ বুলাতে খুবই আনন্দ পান কিন্তু অপরদিকে আপনার প্রিয় বন্ধ এসব জিনিসকের প্রতি তার বিন্দুমাত্র কোনো আগ্রহ খুঁজে পায় না, তাই বলে কি " তার জীবন উপভোগ্য নয়!" এটা আমরা সরাসরি বলে দিতে পারি? মোটেও নয়! তার উপভোগের জিনিস হতে পারে খেলাধুলা বা মুভি দেখা কিংবা ড্রয়িং করা। যা হয়তবা আপনার ভালো লাগে না বা আপনি সেটি করার মাঝে তেমন আনন্দ খুঁজে পান না, যা আপনার বন্ধু খুঁজে পায়। কিন্তু আমি নির্দ্বিধায় একটি কথা বলে দিতে পারব যে আপনি প্রকৃতির মাঝে যে আনন্দ খুঁজে পান আপনার বন্ধুও ঠিক সেই পরিমাণ আনন্দ খুঁজে পায় খেলাধুলায় বা মুভি দেখতে কিংবা ড্রয়িং করতে গিয়ে। আমার এখনো একটি ঘটনা মনে আছে যখন আমি ক্লাস থ্রিতে পড়তাম তখন আমার একবন্ধু ছিল। ছেলেটি খুবই শান্তশিষ্ট ব্যাক্তিগতভাবে আমার কাছে একটু অদ্ভুত লাগত তাকে। কারণ আমার বাকি পাঁচজন বন্ধুর মতো তার স্বভাব ছিল না। যেখানে আমরা বাকি বন্ধুরা বিকেল হলে একটু ঘুড়াঘুড়ি বা খেলাধুলা করতে বেশ পছন্দ করতাম কিন্তু তাকে আমরা কখনো খেলার মাঠে আসতে দেখতাম না। তার উপভোগের একমাত্র জায়গা ছিল লেখাপড়া। আন্টি প্রায় আমাদের বলত উনার ছেলেকে উনি কখনো টিভি দেখা বা যেগুলোকে আমরা বিনোদনমূলক বলে থাকি, সেগুলোতে আনতে পারি নি। আমি তখন মনে করতাম এটা কি কোনো জীবন হতে পারে?! কিন্তু বয়স বাড়ার সাথে সাথে এখন আমার সে ঘটনাগুলো মনে পড়লে বুঝতে পারি যে, সে তার কাজে আনন্দ খুঁজে পেত বলেই তা করত এবং তার জীবন উপভোগ্যই ছিল। জীবন উপভোগ্য হবার বা করার কোনো ধরাবাধা নিয়ম নেই। আপনি যা করছেন তার মাঝে যদি আপনি আনন্দ খুঁজে পান তাহলেই আপনি বুঝবেন আপনার জীবন উপভোগ্য। কিন্তু অন্যের কাছে তা নাও মনে হতে পারে। ---- #### ***""আরবি কোনো ধর্ম না।""*** _{*- @tajimkhan*} --- দেশে বর্তমানে ধর্ম নিয়ে বেশ আলোচনা হচ্ছে। আমার মতে, ধর্ম খুব সংবেদনশীল বিষয়। তাই ধর্ম নিয়ে অধিক-কম বা অতিরিক্ত কিছুই ভালো না। এই প্রসঙ্গে একটা সত্য গল্প বলিঃ রহিম সাহেবের বড় ভাই করিম এসেছেন সৌদিআরব থেকে। করিম তার ভাগ্নের জন্য আসার সময় একটা ফুটবল নিয়ে এসেছেন। তবে দ্বন্দ্বটা শুরু হয়, ফুটবলে আরবি হরফে লিখা থাকার কারণে। তাঁদের কথা, যেহেতু আরবী লিখা ফুটবলে, তাই পা দিয়ে এই বল খেলা যাবে না। তাই বাচ্চার চোখের পানি উপেক্ষা করে বলটা কেটে ফেলা হয়। ভাই, আরবী একটা ভাষা। আরবি কোনো ধর্ম না। আরবিতেও গালি দেয় মানুষ। তেমনি বাংলাতে শব্দালংকার আছে, প্রবাদ আছে। এখানে হিন্দুয়ানি কোনো বিষয় নেই, থাকলেও আমার আল্লাহ এত ছোট মনের না যে সে আমার মনের ভাব বুঝবে না। আল্লাহর ক্ষমতা সর্বত্র বিরাজমান, আল্লাহ সর্ব জ্ঞানের অধিকারী। আপনি যে ভাষা-শব্দই ব্যবহার করেন না কেনো, আল্লাহ আপনার মনের ভাবই বিবেচনায় আনবেন। > যেই দেশে যেই বাক্য কহে নরগণ সেইবাক্য বুঝে প্রভু আপে নিরঞ্জন! -আব্দুল হাকিম ধর্মভীরু আর গোঁড়া দুইটা ভিন্ন বিষয়। আমার মনে হয় যার মাঝে ধর্মজ্ঞান যত কম, তার মাঝে গোঁড়ামি তত বেশি। আপনি আমি বা আমাদের বাংলাদেশে আরবিকে খুব সম্মানের সাথে দেখা হয়। রাস্তায় বা যত্রতত্র প্রসাব করা রুখতে একটা ক্যাম্পেইন হাতে নেইয় সরকার। এইখানে প্রসাব করা নিষেধ এই কথাটা শুধু আরবিতে লিখে দেয়া হয়। ফলাফল খুবই সুন্দর হয়, মানুষ সেসব জায়গায় আরবি লিখা থাকার কারণে প্রসাব তো করছেই না, বরং লেখাটা সালাম করে চলে যাচ্ছে, এমনটা দেখা যায়। আবার আমরা যেভাবে আরবিকে সম্মানের সাথে দেখি, বিশ্বের প্রাঙ্গণে আরবি হরফকে কিন্তু মানুষ ভয় পায়। বর্তমানে ইসলাম ও জঙ্গিবাদ প্রায় বিচ্ছিরিভাবে জড়িয়ে গেছে। মানুষ সাদা জুব্বা-আরবী হরফকে ব্যাপক ভয় পায়। এইখানে একটা ছবি দেখতে পাচ্ছেন, যেখানে (আমার জানা মতে) প্যালেস্টাইনের একটা প্রতিষ্ঠান, Rock Paper Scissors এরকম আরবি লিখা একটা শপিং ব্যাগ বের করে। ব্যাগটিতে লিখা, এই আরবিতে লিখার একটাই উদ্দেশ্য যারা মহানবী (সঃ) তাকে আদর করে এই নামে ডাকার পরে সে আর এই নাম পাল্টায়নি। কথাটা এইজন্য বলা যে, সেদিন এক বড়ভাই, নাম শুভ্র সে উবার কল করে। উবার রাইডার তাকে জিজ্ঞেস করে যে শুভ্র ভাই হিন্দু কিনা। হিন্দু হলে তাকে নিবে না। শুভ্র ভাই ও তার স্ত্রী তার সন্তানের নাম রাখতে চেয়েছিলেন রোদ। কিন্তু এই নামের জন্যয় বাংলাদেশে থাকলে বাচ্চাটাকে অনেক কষ্ট সহ্য করতে হবে দেখে নামটা রাখেনি। অথচ, নাম টা কিন্তু বাংলা, বাংলা নামে আমাদের অনেক সমস্যা। বাংলা নাম বা ভাষাকে আমরা অনেকে হিন্দুদের ভাষা মনে করি। সবশেষে কবি আব্দুল হাকিমের ভাষায় আবার বলতে চাই, > "যে সবে বঙ্গেত জন্মি হিংসে বঙ্গবাণী। সে সব কাহার জন্ম নির্ণয় ন জানি।।" ---- #### ***""কলেজের শেষ দিন!""*** _{*- @shahinaubl*} --- আমার কলেজের শেষ দিন ছিল অনেক বেশি আবেগ এবং স্মৃতিতে ভরা। আমাদের কলেজের শেষ পরীক্ষা এবং শেষ দিন। সেদিন সবাই পরীক্ষা নিয়ে বেশ উদ্বিগ্ন এবং আবেগপ্রবণ ছিল। এটা আমাদের কাছে ছিল মিশ্র অনুভূতি। আমরা কলেজের ভিতরে প্রবেশ করি এবং অনুভব করি এটাই আমাদের শেষ পরীক্ষা। সকলের জন্য সকলের প্রতি এক ভিন্ন রকম অনুভূতি প্রকাশ পাচ্ছিল। কলেজের কতটা গুরুত্ব সেটা বুঝতে পারি। আমরা সবাই আমাদের পরীক্ষায় অংশগ্রহণ করি। পরীক্ষা শুরু হল এবং পরীক্ষা শেষ হওয়ার পরে আমরা সকলের সাথে বিদায়ের কথা বলতে শুরু করে। শার্টে লিখে শেষ দিনের স্মৃতি তৈরি করতে শুরু করেছিলাম । সেখানে একে অপরের জন্য শুভকামনা ছিল। আমরা সবাই কলেজের গুরুত্ব উপলব্ধি করতে পারি। বুঝতে পারি কলেজটি কতটা মূল্যবান ছিলো এবং সেই দিনগুলো যেগুলো আমরা একসাথে কলেজে কাটিয়েছিলাম। সবাই গ্রুপ ফটো ক্লিক করি, স্মৃতিগুলোকে বন্দি করতে ব্যস্ত ছিলাম। কলেজের সেই প্রথম দিন, বন্ধুদের সাথে একসাথে সময় কাটানো, বক্তিতা, অনুষ্ঠান উদযাপন, বন্ধুত্ব, প্রথম দেখা সবকিছু। আমরা আমাদের প্রিয় শিক্ষকদের সাথে কথা বলি। তাদের সাথে গ্রুপ ফটো তুলেছিলাম, আমাদের জীবনে তাদের অবদানের জন্য আমরা তাদের ধন্যবাদ জানাই। আমরা সবাই কলেজের শেষ যাত্রা একসাথে শুরু করি। প্রতিটি ক্লাসে গিয়েছিলাম, ল্যাবে , শিক্ষকদের সাথে দেখা করি। ক্যান্টিনে গিয়ে ছিলাম যেখানে দুপুরের খাবারের সময় ছিল সবার জন্য এক ভিন্ন রকম আনন্দের জায়গা। এর আগে কখনো এমন করে ভাবা হয়নি । কলেজের সেই দিনটি যে আমাদের জন্য গুরুত্বপূর্ণ এবং মূল্যবান হবে। আমরা কলেজে ভর্তি যখন হয়েছিলাম সবাই কখনো ভাবি নি যে কলেজ আমাদের জন্য সেরা জায়গা হবে একদিন। কলেজ জীবন এবং কলেজে থাকা আমাদের সময় গুলো ছিল জীবনের সবচেয়ে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ এবং মূল্যবান অংশ। শিক্ষকদের কাছে বিদায়ের পর এবং শিক্ষকরা আমাদের সবাইকে ভবিষ্যতের শুভেচ্ছা জানানোর পরে, আমরা কলেজের গেটের দিকে এগোতে লাগলাম। শেষ বারের মতো কলেজ দেখা শেষ করেছিলাম। আমরা আবেগপ্রবণ ভাবে একে অপরকে বিদায় জানাই এবং সবাইকে প্রতিশ্রুতি দিয়েছিলাম সবার সাথে আবারো দেখা হবে। সর্বদা একে অপরের সাথে যোগাযোগ রাখব । অবশেষে বিদায়ের পালা , সবাই বলেছিলাম প্রতি বছরে একবার হলেও কলেজ পরিদর্শনে আসার সময় করে নিব। সবাই নতুন জীবনে আরও একধাপ এগিয়ে থাকবো। আমরা হয়তো এখন সবাই নিজের জীবন নিয়ে খুব ব্যস্ত। কিন্তু এখনও আমরা কলেজের কথা বলি এবং সেই সুন্দর দিনগুলো কে স্মরণ করি। কলেজ লাইফের গুরুত্বের সাথে বন্ধুত্বের গুরুত্ব সেখান থেকে শুরু হয়। আমরা বিশ্বাস করি কলেজ লাইফ আমাদের জীবনের খুব ভালো একটা পর্ব ছিল । আমরা সেই দিনগুলি প্রতিনিয়ত অনুভব করি, যখন আমরা ছিলাম মুক্ত পাখি। কলেজের শেষ দিনটি আমরা এখনো ভুলতে পারিনি। এখনো আমাদের কাছে সেই শার্ট গুলো রয়েছে। যার মধ্যে সকলের লেখা এবং সেই শুভকামনা গুলো এখনো আমাদের কাছে জীবন্ত। কলেজের শেষ দিনের কথা কেউ-ই ভুলতে পারবে না । আপনি বলতে পারেন সেই দিনটি সুন্দর এবং আবেগ ময় দিন। কলেজের শেষ দিনের জন্য ,
