I can’t lie and say this wasn’t an incredibly awesome project to observe coming together...

T’was probably a couple years ago I was curious to experiment with a fusion of trap and rock. I had played around with a few ideas at the time, though wasn’t able to advance them to the point of being inspiring. Having taken a break from producing and just bringing back guitar into the picture, then *this* happened. It first started out with the guitars... and I was borderline-ready to carry on to a different idea whSamplingen nothing was popping off. But *then,* I started experimenting with overlaying some drum loops. Next thing ya know... *bam.* For *possibly stupid* reasons, I’ve tended to be resistant to the idea of using loops. Maybe cuz it’s not *completely* original, versus programming everything from scratch - some silly artistic qualm. Yet, when something like *this* happens... it’s time to rethink such an attitude. Cuz regardless, the final product is **dope.** So really, *who gives a fuck.* And after all, sampling loops has *always* been a staple of hip hop. (And then again, there's a whole art and alchemy to working with loops, *especially* once multi-band compression comes into the picture... a whole other topic I'd be happy to geek out about, though probably not fit for *this* audience.) *Yada yada yada...* As to where this project ends up, who knows. At this point, it’s still something of a sketch requiring a bit more development (and possibly the right vocalist). Nonetheless, I’m pretty happy with the way it’s turned out - massive, hard-driving, a well-rounded package of insanely-banging drums and *huge* guitars. Getting closer to the unique vibe & sound I’ve had in mind. Without further ado, I invite you to listen on your best set of headphones or speakers for an optimized listening experience, as there are *alot* of details in the mix that are likely to be missed if listening on lower-quality equipment.
