The Barquisimeto Huele a Café celebrated its fourth edition from Thursday 27 to Saturday March 29. This is an event that I love. Last year I could only go for one day, but this time I wanted to go and enjoy the event and I attended Friday and Saturday. In this new edition participated coffee growers, coffee production cooperatives, associations and many coffee companies and coffeeshops. It is an event for producers, distributors, traders and the general public to interact and establish commercial relationships. ---- > El Barquisimeto Huele a Café celebró su cuarta edición desde el jueves 27 hasta el sábado 29 de marzo. Este es un evento que me encanta. El año pasado sólo pude ir un día, pero esta vez quise ir y disfrutar bien del evento y asistí viernes y sábado. > En esta nueva edición participaron caficultores, cooperativas de producción de café, asociaciones y muchas empresas de café y coffeeshops. Es un evento para que productores, distribuidores, comerciantes y público en general interactúen y establezcan relaciones comerciales.

The commercial coffee brands offered most of the coffee for free and where there was a variety of coffee, long lines formed. For those who did not want to wait in line, there were other brands that offered the typical black coffee for free. The first day I didn't drink as much coffee, there was a long line and I focused more on taking photos for the post. I also talked to some of the representatives of the brands and coffee producers. The second day I was more relaxed and came out totally drunk on coffee. The second day I queued up at almost every satand. The richest was the Nestlé booth and it was the one where the line was the longest. ---- > El público en general también se lo pasa en grande. Las marcas comerciales de café ofrecían la mayor parte del café gratis y donde había variedad de café se formaban largas colas. Para los que no querían hacer cola, había otras marcas que ofrecían el típico café negro de igual forma gratis. > El primer día no tomé tanto café, había mucha cola y me centré más en hacer fotos para el post. También hablé con algunos de los representantes de las marcas y productores de café. El segundo día estaba más relajado y salí totalmente borracho de café. El segundo día hice cola en casi todos los satand. Fifteen minutes into Friday's event, I met the Hivers, Zully Scott and her husband Cesar Filoriologo. Since the coffee was free, I treated them to a delicious coffee. We talked about Hive for a while and after a while they met other Hivers, who are new to the platform and they had introduced Hive. I don't remember their usernames. There were also brands from other types of companies that were present. Internet companies, phone companies and car dealerships, the latter offering the latest models of cars and trucks. There was a car I liked, red in color, for a cost of $25,000. It provoked me to buy it outright, but I woke up from that brief moment of daydreaming and remembered that I have no money. ---- > A los quince minutos de empezar el evento del viernes, me encontre alli a los Hivers, Zully Scott y su marido Cesar Filoriologo. Como el café era gratis, les invité a un delicioso café. Hablamos de Hive durante un rato y al rato se encontraron con otros Hivers, que son nuevos en la plataforma y ellos habian introducido a Hive. Empresas de Internet, de telefonía y concesionarios de coches, estos últimos ofreciendo los últimos modelos de coches y camiones. Había un coche que me gustaba, de color rojo, por un coste de 25 mil dólares. This mode of transportation has become very popular in my country. We almost look like India. Motorcycles everywhere. The economic crisis and the lack of gasoline forced many people to buy a motorcycle to get around. The Bicentennial Fair Complex is very big and in its sheds there were also other activities and exhibitors. In one of the sheds there were stands of all kinds of products, from personal care items, health, accessories, clothes, shoes, toys. Barquisimeto Huele a Café is a fair with free admission and the public enjoyed it very much. ---- > Los concesionarios de motocicletas también tenían un stand. Este medio de transporte se ha hecho muy popular en mi país. Casi parecemos la India. Motos por todas partes. La crisis económica y la falta de gasolina obligaron a mucha gente a comprarse una moto para poder moverse. > El Complejo Ferial Bicentenario es muy grande y en sus galpones también había otras actividades y expositores. En uno de los galpones había puestos de todo tipo de productos, desde artículos de cuidado personal, salud, accesorios, ropa, zapatos, juguetes. There were chairs around the stage where the jury was located and, as the participants arrived, the competitions began. Cameras from different media were present. Conferences were held in the third hall. Personalities from the coffee world were giving lectures and presentations. I entered one of the conferences for a moment just to take some pictures, I could not stay to listen to it because I was missing other activities. ------ > En un segundo cobertizo se celebraron los concursos de baristas. Había sillas alrededor del escenario donde se situaba el jurado y, a medida que iban llegando los participantes, comenzaban las competiciones. Cámaras de diferentes medios de comunicación estaban presentes. > En la tercera nave se celebraron las conferencias. Personalidades del mundo del café daban conferencias y presentaciones. They started after six in the evening and, as more people arrived, the hostesses organized contests for people to win prizes. There were also long lines, so I didn't want to participate, but I had a chance at one at Café Marbella and won a cap. It was a very productive two days. I had to leave early, as usual, so I missed the night out and the music shows. Hopefully next year they will continue to do this event. ----- > No había que perderse los concursos. Empezaron después de las seis de la tarde y, a medida que llegaba más gente, las azafatas organizaban concursos para que la gente ganara premios. También había largas colas, así que no quise participar, pero tuve la oportunidad de uno en el Café Marbella y gané una gorra. > Fueron dos días muy productivos. La gente que visitaba el centro comercial también pudo disfrutar de todo el espectáculo. Ahora estamos a la espera de los próximos eventos organizados por Matsucon. Creo que para el mes de Mayo tienen planeada una actividad para el Orgullo Geek y en Junio es el MetroGeek, ese es en el centro comercial Metropolis.
