Today, I am sharing a recipe of the Apple Pie I always bake more often than most of the sweets recipes I have. This recipe was passed on to me by Oma, hubby´s grandma. She handed down all her cooking and baking books, particularly the ones that are having austrian food, all in German of course.... so let´s see how the recipe goes below. > ##### ¡Hola Hivers! > >¡Bienvenidos a mi blog! ¡Un cordial saludo a todos! Hoy, les estoy compartiendo una receta de la tarta de manzana que siempre horneo con más frecuencia que la mayoría de las recetas de dulces que tengo. Esta receta me la pasó Oma, la abuela de mi esposo. Ella entregó todos sus libros de cocina y repostería, particularmente los que tienen comida austriaca, todos en alemán, por supuesto. así que veamos cómo va la receta a continuación. ![IMG_20210328_211101.jpg](https://images.hive.blog/DQmWnjAa32VaA3tFqXMm1162bPJ93CRLPxCK6az8RYjEh5R/IMG_20210328_211101.jpg) ### Apple Pie ###### Preheat oven at 175°C / ca. 347°F ###### Ingredients - Pie fillings: 1.5 kg apples 100 g sugar (avoid sugar by using 7 tablespoon Stevia powder, a plant base sweetener) 1 tsp grated lemon peel 1/2 teaspoon Nutmeg 1/2 cup dried cranberries 1 cup crushed walnuts 4 Tablespoons orange marmalade or any sort you like. 1 egg yolk to coat the grid topping > ### Tarta De Manzana > > ###### Precalentar el horno a 175° C / aprox.347 ° F > ##### Ingredientes - Rellenos para tartas: > 1,5 kg de manzanas 100 g de azúcar (evite el azúcar utilizando 7 cucharadas de Stevia en polvo, un edulcorante a base de plantas) 1 cucharadita de cáscara de limón rallada 1/2 cucharadita de nuez moscada 1/2 taza de arándanos secos 1 taza de nueces trituradas 4 cucharadas de mermelada de naranja o de cualquier tipo. 1 yema de huevo para cubrir la rejilla ##### How to cook the Apple fillings: Peel the apples and remove the seeds, slice into small pieces, slow-cook in a casserole adding all ingredients until apples become medium soft (about 10 minutes) and liquid has evaporated. If more liquid comes out from apple cooking, remove excess liquid or drain the cooked apple, set aside and let it cool down. Mix some cranberries to the filling. > ##### Cómo cocinar los rellenos de manzana: >Pele las manzanas y quite las semillas, córtelas en trozos pequeños, cocine a fuego lento en una cazuela agregando todos los ingredientes hasta que las manzanas estén medio blandas (unos 10 minutos) y el líquido se haya evaporado. Si sale más líquido de la cocción de la manzana, retire el exceso de líquido o escurra la manzana cocida, déjela enfriar. On a floured surface, roll- out the dough using a rolling pin. Coat the Pie Form with butter....use dough to line the pie form carefully pressing all the inner sides to shape the crust. Run the rolling pin over the edge of the pie form to remove excess pastry, set the dough aside for later use. Keep excess dough material for the grid to decorate the pie top later. > ##### Hacer la corteza: > > #### Ingredientes > 500 g de harina para todo uso 30 g de azúcar una pizca de sal, 200 g de mantequilla, cortar en cubos 1 cucharada de vinagre de mesa 10 cucharadas de agua fría > > 1 ... En un tazón combine los ingredientes anteriores, amase hasta obtener una masa suave, forme una bola, luego cubra con papel de aluminio y refrigere durante unos 30 minutos: > > 2 ... Sobre una superficie enharinada, extender la masa con un rodillo. Cubra la forma de pastel con mantequilla ... use masa para forrar la forma de pastel presionando con cuidado todos los lados internos para dar forma a la corteza. Pasa el rodillo sobre el borde de la forma de pastel para eliminar el exceso de masa. Fill crust with the cooked apple mixture and arrange strips of dough to cover pie in grid form. Garnish the grid with cranberries and walnuts. In a bowl, add 1 tablespoon marmalade, heat for a bout 1 minute in the microwave and use this to pat the top of the Pie. For a golden brown appearance, brush the grid with egg yolk. Bake the pie for about an hour in the preheated oven in the last rack of the oven. > 3... Rellene la corteza con la mezcla de manzanas cocidas y disponga las tiras de masa para cubrir la tarta en forma de rejilla. Adornar la rejilla con los arándanos y las nueces. En un cuenco, añada una cucharada de mermelada, caliéntela durante un minuto en el microondas y utilícela para dar unos golpecitos en la parte superior de la tarta con una brocha de pastelería. Para conseguir un aspecto dorado, pincelar la rejilla con yema de huevo. Can be eaten warm or cold, garnish with whipping cream and serve with coffee or tea. > ##### Sacar del horno y dejar enfriar ... luego transferir a un plato.
