- 1 1/4 cups milk or plant-based drink. - 2 teaspoons white vinegar. - 3/4 cup sugar, either white or brown. - 100 ml vegetable oil; I used sunflower oil. - 1 tablespoon vanilla. - 2 cups sifted wheat flour. - 2 teaspoons baking powder. - 1/2 teaspoon baking soda. - 1/2 teaspoon salt. --- Ingredients for the vegan pastry cream:

- 500 ml of milk or plant-based milk. - 100 g of sugar, or other sweetener. - 75 g of cornstarch. - Vanilla to taste; I used a tablespoon. - 50 g of plant-based butter. --- Preparation: 1- First, let's prepare the pastry cream. Mix the milk, cornstarch, sugar, and vanilla in a saucepan and heat over medium heat for approximately 10 minutes, whisking constantly to prevent lumps from forming (I added a drop of yellow food coloring, but this is optional). Once the time is up, or when it's thickened, remove from heat and add the butter. Mix well, then cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for approximately 1.5 hours.
