These plantain arepas are a variation of the traditional arepa and are very tasty, I choose ripe male plantains with a yellow peel, without black spots and neither that have a green colour, I only like the yellow ones to make these delicious arepas, its preparation is quite simple, I will tell you how I made this recipe for my dinner.

PROCEDURE ✓ Cook the ripe plantains, place them in a pot covered with enough water to cover them, boil them for about ten minutes, then remove the water and let them cool a little before removing the peel.

✓ Remove the peel from the bananas. ✓ Turn them into puree, with a fork it is very easy. ✓ Then the mashed bananas are kneaded with a little pre-cooked corn flour. ✓ Shape the arepas, which are round and cook them in the way you prefer, I made them in an arepa toaster.

✓ I fill them with cheese, lots of cheese, I like to put butter on them.

This meal is a very good alternative to savour and enjoy the sweet taste of ripe plantains, and the combination with cheese is the best!

Deliciosas Arepas de Platano

Estas arepas de plátano son una variación de la arepa tradicional y quedan muy sabrosas, elijo los plátanos maduros machos con una cáscara amarilla, sin manchas negras y tampoco que tengan un color verde, solo los amarillos me gustan para hacer estas deliciosas arepas, su elaboración es bastante sencilla, te diré cómo hice esta receta para mi cena.

PROCEDIMIENTO ✓ Cocinar los plátanos maduros machos, se colocan en una olla cubiertos con suficiente agua que los cubra, se hierven por aproximadamente diez minutos, luego se les retira el agua y se dejan enfriar un poco antes de retirar su cáscara

✓ Retirar la cáscara de los plátanos ✓ Convertirlos en puré, con un tenedor es muy fácil ✓ Luego el puré de plátanos se amasa con un poquito de harina de maíz precocida ✓ Se le dan forma a las arepas, que son redondas y se cocinan de la forma que prefieras, yo las hice en un tostador de arepas

✓Se rellena de queso, mucho queso, me gusta ponerle mantequilla.

Esta comida es una muy buena alternativa para saborear y disfrutar del sabor dulce del plátano maduro, y su combinación con queso es lo máximo!
