(3D render #2) - Holozing Fanart > This post took me a long time to make because, as I was making the three Drazing evolutions I didn't show in the previous post, I learned a lot of Blender stuff in the process. I was also working paralelly on another model, not related to Holozing at all (I will make a post about its creative process on another community when it's ready :3), but anyways, let's start :D! The ones left were Verdion, Tiderion and Terrarion. I started with the green one, wondering how to make the horns and tail leaves' details while modelling each of them. Once the head leaves were made I tried applying a solid color to them but it didn't look good, so I made a texture and started drawing. I really loved how they turned out :D! I did the same with the leaf in the tail. There you see the texture and how it changes :3 After making that the only things left for Verdion were the orange claws and a fix with the belly color. I moved on with Terrarion. I set the colors, quickly made the ears longer and modelled the horns. I wanted to capture movement from the very beginning, so I worked with loose, energetic lines to shape her pose and the general flow of the piece. This part is all about finding balance between action and readability. Once I was happy with the sketch, I moved on to the line art. I refined all the shapes, adding details like her hair spikes, the folds of her dress, and the segmented texture of her turtle shell. Clean lines help set the foundation for everything that comes next. Coloring came next, where I brought Glimmo to life with her signature orange and green palette. I paid close attention to harmonizing the warm and earthy tones so her personality would shine through while staying true to the original inspiration. Shading was a crucial step to enhance the depth and dimension of the piece. I placed shadows strategically to suggest sunlight coming from behind, giving her a more dynamic and lively feel. After shadows, I worked on the highlights. My sleep cycle is wrecked 😂! Oh well, at least I got to finish painting Infurnal in Radiant Max Holo form which I never saw in here. Well that's about it and that was the idea here. I just placed him on top of canyon like you see some wolves howling on top of it but this guy is a fox so there is no howl here haha. It's just him and his magnificent radiant glow. Took me a while to tweak the colours on this though. Also I think I spend a lot of time thinking about the background as well and came up with this. When our guy is this high the trees has to be drawn properly based on that otherwise it would just feel weird. I chose Cinella because I haven’t drawn it for a long time. To do the sketch, first I drew a girl and inspired from Cinella I designed the outfit. Then I drew the real Cinella on her hair as an accessory. When I finished the sketch, first I started coloring her face and body. And after shading and highlighting. After that, I colored her facial features and the outfit. Then I colored her hair and then added more details on the outfit and worked on the hair drawing the hair strands. I was exploring software that are similar to blender that could work well on mobile since I am device limited, and Google recommended a few for me, I explored most of them but did settle for this one called sculpt app, though it is not free like blender and because of that some features are not available for the free trial and everything is only unlocked for premium subscribers, there are limited materials, limited undo and redo and so on. But regardless, I felt it was one of the easiest and user friendly 3D app available for mobile so I settled for that and my first project on it was Cinella Fanart. But before working on the project few days ago, I had explored the software with other projects then I decided it was time to make one fanart with it. I had to configure it to what I wanted, changed a few default settings and adjusted a few brushes and tools before working with it. I created this fanart using a few brushes I found suitable for the fanart I was creating. I am sharing all my processes with you guys and I hope you like this version of cinella too. One fun part I love most about this software is the smoothing effect, it gives a better smoothing effect compared to my previous software and I love that for my work. So I sketched the character and started coloring the portrait. As always I started with coloring the skin first. I used light natural skin tone for coloring his skin and then used darker shade to shade. Then, I colored his clothes and facial features. After that I worked more on his skin and highlighted it. Then I colored his hair and drew the hair strands. I also added texture on his clothes to make it look detailed and realistic. In the end, it was time to add more little details and work on the background. So, that's why I decided to draw Cinelara for today~ This time I messed with the colors a little bit and colored her hair gray, you might think that's unrelated, and I think it could somewhat be, but her wings are where I got that idea, and I think the gray looks quite attractive on her.
