VERSIÓN EN ESPAÑOL

Desde que tengo uso de razón he visualizado a mi padre como un superhéroe, como aquel hombre que con mucho esfuerzo hace de mis más grandes sueños algo posible o en el peor de los casos solo me deja a un paso.

Como todo ser humano no es perfecto, pero yo me he centrado en visualizar sus virtudes y sobre todo contagiarme del buen optimismo que lo caracteriza, siempre con una actitud positiva frente a las adversidades de la vida y viendo en ella una oportunidad para crecer y aprender.

Él es el mayor de 5 hermanos, conformados por 3 hembras y 2 varones, desde muy temprana edad se aventuró a trabajar para ayudar a los gastos de su casa, no pudo tener una educación continua y mucho menos de calidad, por ello en su edad adulta se esforzó porque cada uno de sus hijos estudiáramos y aportarnos herramientas para defendernos en la vida.

Dios lo bendijo con 6 hermosas flores que adornan su jardín más preciado y 2 hijos, a cada uno de nosotros nos ha ayudado económicamente para tener nuestros hogares y emprendimientos, aunque esto se ha extendido a otros familiares, ha sido tal el compromiso con sus hermanas y sobrinos que lo visualizan justamente como la figura paterna por la seguridad que les ha aportado siempre.

Otra de las grandes virtudes de mi padre es la humildad, recuerdo en mi época universitaria cuando estudiaba en Maracaibo, al finalizar mis actividades escolares decidí emprender en mi área laboral e iniciar una maestría allí mismo en la cuidad, pero lejos de mis padres, por la poca demanda laboral que había en mi pueblo. Ustedes entenderán que siempre anhelamos tener a nuestros hijos cerca, por lo que él hizo los trámites correspondientes para lograr encontrarme un cupo en el único liceo de mi comunidad, metió currículo por todos lados y como dicen por allí el que persevera alcanza.

Eso ameritaba mi regreso y quedarme sin mi única entrada económica, por lo que el nuevamente asumió mis gastos y esta vez con el extra de tener que pagar mi pasaje todas las semanas para mis clases de post grado, el cual cabe destacar era pago y aun cuando en muchas oportunidades no tuvo como cubrir esos gastos, prefirió prestar a un amigo de la familia, que simplemente decirme deja tus sueños a medias.

Quizás este acto no sea de gran valor para muchos, pero si yo hubiese sabido en esa época lo que sucedía, ténganlo por seguro que el final de esta historia fuese diferente, pero Dios tenia es sus planes que lograra mi título de maestría con todo el sacrificio que estaba haciendo mi padre por impulsarme y verme feliz.

En mis momentos de dificultad, siempre ha tenido sus fuertes abrazos para consolarme y palabras de optimismo para motivarme no existe algo más placentero para una hija que el escuchar elogios y las palabras más bonitas del mundo, por parte de un padre, las cuales me han llenado y reforzado en mis días, mi padre alimento mi autoestima y esto es una de los más valiosos legados que me ha dado.

Es aun en mi edad adulta y cada vez que me ve muy arreglada me dice “Hija mía tienes cita para sacar la cedula” la primera vez que lo escuche en mi niñez no entendí su comentario, pero él me lo explico cuando uno se va a sacar la cedula de identidad se viste y arregla muy bien porque quieres obtener muy buenos resultados, por lo tanto escuchar este comentario es sinónimo de decir que estas muy hermosa.

Siempre me ha dicho que soy la flor de su primer amor y que se siente muy orgulloso de los valores y principios que dejo como semilla en mí ser y los cuales han florecido y han sido replicados en mis niños.

Como abuelo es súper consentidor, de hecho todos sus nietos lo llaman papi tito, es gratificante como él se lanza en el piso o busca una pelota y juega con ellos, no importa si está cansado, él siempre tiene un tiempo disponible para divertirse y contarle sus historias.

Le doy gracias a nuestro creador por su infinito amor y por permitir que mi padre goce de buena salud y vida. Te amo papito de mi corazón, gracias por forjar en mí el ser humano que soy, pero muy especialmente por demostrarme que todo lo que logremos es directamente proporcional a la actitud con la que visualicemos las situaciones del camino.

For as long as I can remember I have visualized my father as a superhero, as the man who with a lot of effort makes my biggest dreams possible or in the worst case he only leaves me a step away.

Like every human being he is not perfect, but I have focused on visualizing his virtues and above all I have been infected by the good optimism that characterizes him, always with a positive attitude in the face of life's adversities and seeing in it an opportunity to grow and learn.

He is the oldest of 5 siblings, consisting of 3 females and 2 males, from an early age he ventured to work to help with household expenses, he could not have a continuous education and much less quality, so in his adulthood he strove for each of his children to study and provide us with tools to defend ourselves in life.

God blessed him with 6 beautiful flowers that adorn his most precious garden and 2 children, he has helped each of us economically to have our homes and businesses, although this has extended to other family members, has been such a commitment to his sisters and nephews that they visualize him as the father figure for the security he has always given them.

Another of my father's great virtues is his humility, I remember in my university days when I was studying in Maracaibo, at the end of my school activities I decided to undertake my work and start a master's degree right there in the city, but far from my parents, because of the little labor demand that existed in my town. You will understand that we always long to have our children nearby, so he made the necessary arrangements to find me a place in the only high school in my community, he put curriculum everywhere and as they say over there he who perseveres achieves.

That merited my return and leaving me without my only economic income, so he again assumed my expenses and this time with the extra of having to pay my ticket every week for my postgraduate classes, which was paid and even though in many opportunities he did not have how to cover those expenses, he preferred to lend to a family friend, who simply tells me that he leaves your dreams halfway.

Perhaps this act is not of great value to many, but if I had known at that time what was happening, be sure that the end of this story would be different, but God had in his plans that I achieved my master's degree with all the sacrifice that my father was making to push me and see me happy.

In my moments of difficulty, he has always had his strong hugs to comfort me and words of optimism to motivate me, there is nothing more pleasant for a daughter than to hear praise and the nicest words in the world, from a father, which have filled and strengthened me in my days, my father nourished my self-esteem and this is one of the most valuable legacies he has given me.

It is still in my adulthood and every time he sees me very well groomed he tells me "My daughter you have an appointment to get your ID card" the first time I heard it in my childhood I did not understand his comment, but he explained it to me when you go to get your ID card you dress and groom yourself very well because you want to get very good results, therefore hearing this comment is synonymous to say that you are very beautiful.

He has always told me that I am the flower of his first love and that he feels very proud of the values and principles that I left as a seed in my being and which have flourished and have been replicated in my children.

As a grandfather he is super spoiled, in fact all his grandchildren call him daddy tito, it is gratifying how he throws himself on the floor or looks for a ball and plays with them, no matter if he is tired, he always has time available to have fun and tell them his stories.

I thank our creator for his infinite love and for allowing my father to enjoy good health and life. I love you daddy of my heart, thank you for forging in me the human being that I am, but most especially for showing me that everything we achieve is directly proportional to the attitude with which we visualize the situations along the way.
