Mein Pech, dass Glück schon mal als Thema für spannende MittwochsQuickies gesorgt hat. Da muss natürluch ein neues, frisches Thema her.

## Moment Eigentlich sollte das heutige Thema Bilder werden, aber was halten Bilder fest, was zeigen sie? Momente, Erinnerungen, das hier und jetzt, konserviert für die vermeintliche Ewigkeit. In Momenten steckt meiner Meinung nach so viel mehr als "nur" ein Bild desselben, darum hoffe ich, euch mehr Möglichkeiten mit diesem Thema zu bieten. Bilder helfen natürlich, sich an bestimmte Momente zu erinnern oder diese Momente mit anderen zu teilen, wenn sie nicht dabei sein konnten, aber den Moment erlebt zu haben bildet ein wesentlich komplexeres Konstrukt, als das wir alle Informationen des Moments in einem Bild festhalten könnten. Ich muss zugeben, ich bin in diesem Punkt kein Vorzeigebeispiel, aber erleben wir die Momente noch in ihrer vollen Intensität, oder legen wir mehr Fokus darauf jeden Moment für die Leute festzuhalten, die nicht dabei sein können? Lichten jedes kleine Detail unseres Lebens mit unserer Smartphone Kamera ab, um diese meist belanglosen, unbesonderen oder oft zu künstlich, glücklich dargestellten Momente mit einer Audience zu teilen, die zum Großteil nur drüber swipet, weil sie schon so abgestumpft von den endlos geteilten glücklichen Momenten anderer ist, dass sie es nicht mehr wert finden auf unsere geteilten Moment zu reagieren. Ich meine hier die Angewohnheit, alles zu fotografieren und in Stories zu verpacken, statt den Moment durch die eigenen Augen zu erleben. Wir erleben diese zum teilen bestimmt und unwirklich inszenierten Momente eher durch den Smartphone Screen oder den Sucher unserer Kamera als diese in ihrer vollen Gänze aufzusaugen. ## Wieso ich hier kein Vorzeigebeispiel bin? Weil ich selbst sehr gerne fotografiere und vor allem in meinen Urlauben möglichst viel festhalten möchte. Der kleine Unterschied bei mir liegt aber vielleicht darin, dass ich wohl noch von der alten Schule bin und nicht sofort und live jeden Schnappschuss mit der Welt teilen muss. Oft ist es sogar nur ein einzelnes Foto lange nachdem ich wieder Zuhause bin und für mich einen besonderen des erlebten Moments darstellt. ![sketch1553036882743.png](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmY2tcyf2Gp3CKgNd6hmSvkfdEBny8cU2P2QiTHayNEnfb/sketch1553036882743.png) ## Was ich etwas bedenklich finde Gerade im Urlaub ist es noch präsenter als sonst wo, dass man auf Menschen trifft, die diese Urlaube mit all ihren besonderen Momenten anscheinend nur antreten, damit sie diese mit anderen teilen können, die nicht dabei sind und oft auch garnicht auf die geteilten Bilder reagieren. Ganz oft kennen sie die Menschen mit denen sie die Bilder teilen nicht mal oder haben noch nie mit ihnen ein Wort gewechselt. Dennoch ist ihnen ihr Like oder Herzchen teilweise so wichtig, dass sie dafür sogar ihr Leben geben ~~würden~~. ![20160116_112419-02-01.jpeg](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmS5vbv6vxnnkzzMM1iemLvdZNaFQRZ1jrbdcLtU4qemWc/20160116_112419-02-01.jpeg) Bei Städtetrips setze ich mich auch gern in einen Touristenbus, der diverse Sehenswürdigkeiten auf seiner Route abklappert. Dabei sieht man oft junge Menschen, die durchgehend in ihr Smartphone starren und nur für ein Foto von sich vor einer Sehenswürdigkeit ihren Platz verlassen, um diesen einen smartphonefreien Moment gleich instant wieder in ihr Smartphone zu laden und mit einer Vielzahl von Fremden im Internet zu teilen. ## Wieso tun wir uns das dann an? Wieso lässt sich das 18 jährige Mädchen am Plaza de Espania mindestens 50 Mal von ihrer Mutter in einer fragwürdigen Pose fotografieren und ist dann erst nicht zufrieden mit dem Bild, so dass ihre Mutter erneut 20 Fotos aufnehmen muss, bis ein Bild "Internetworthy" ist? Wieso macht das die Mutter überhaupt mit? Wieso sagt sie ihrer Tochter nicht, dass sie auch ohne tiefem Ausschnitt und überschminktem Duckface hübsch ist und sie diese Likes und Herzchen nicht so anbeten soll oder nicht als Bestätigung braucht? Wieso müssen junge Leute beim Shipwreck Beach auf Zakynthos über die Absperrung klettern, um noch näher an den Klippen das perfekte Selfie zu knipsen (dass übrigens schon hundertfach vor ihnen gepostet wurde), nur um dann in den Tod zu stürzen, weil sie mit Flipflops auf den Felsen geklettert sind und den Halt verloren haben? Wieso passiert das immer wieder und die Menschen lernen nicht aus der Inschrift der Gedenksteine, die dort als Warnung aufgestellt wurden? ## Ich weiß es nicht Das ist der Moment, wo ich mich frage: Moment mal, wie weit geht das ganze noch? Für ein Foto oder Selfie, nein in Wahrheit für die darauf gesammelten Likes und Herzchen von fremden Menschen, mit denen man eigentlich noch nie zu tun hatte, zu sterben. Vielleicht wisst ihr ja die Antwort auf diese Fragen und teilt sie mit uns in euren MittwochsQuickies. Schöner fände ich es aber, wenn ihr über besondere Momente eures Lebens schreibt. Moments, memories, the here and now, preserved for the supposed eternity. In my opinion there is so much more to moments than "just" a picture of the same, so I hope to offer you more possibilities with this topic. Pictures of course help to remember certain moments or share those moments with others when they couldn't be there, but experiencing the moment is a much more complex construct than capturing all the information of the moment in one picture. I have to admit I'm not a model in this respect, but do we still experience the moments in their full intensity, or do we put more focus on capturing every moment for the people who can't be there? Shot every little detail of our lives with our smartphone camera to share these mostly trivial, unspecific or often too artificially, happily presented moments with an audience that for the most part only swipes over it because it is already so dulled by the endlessly shared happy moments of others that they don't find it worth responding to our shared moment. I mean the habit of photographing everything and wrapping it up in stories instead of experiencing the moment through one's own eyes. We experience these moments, intended for sharing and unreally staged, rather through the smartphone screen or the viewfinder of our camera than sucking them up in their entirety. ## Why I'm not a model here? Because I like to take pictures myself and want to capture as much as possible during my holidays. The small difference with me may be that I'm still from the old school and don't have to share every snapshot with the world immediately and live. Quite often they don't even know the people with whom they share the pictures or have never exchanged a word with them. Often you see young people staring into their smartphone and leaving their place in front of a sight just for a photo of themselves, to load that one smartphone-free moment immediately back into their smartphone and share it with a lot of strangers on the internet. ## Then why are we doing this to ourselves? Why does the 18-year-old girl at the Plaza de Espania have her mother photograph her at least 50 times in a questionable pose and then not be satisfied with the picture at first, so that her mother has to take another 20 photos until a picture is "Internetworthy"? Why is the mother doing this at all? Why doesn't she tell her daughter that she's pretty even without a deep neckline and make-up on her duck face and that she shouldn't worship these Likes and hearts like that or doesn't need them as confirmation? Why do young people at Shipwreck Beach on Zakynthos have to climb over the barrier to get even closer to the cliffs the perfect Selfie (which by the way has already been posted a hundred times in front of them), only to fall to their deaths because they climbed the rocks with flip-flops and lost their footing? Why does this happen again and again and people don't learn from the inscriptions of the memorial stones that were placed there as a warning? ## I don't know That's the moment I'm wondering, wait a minute, how far does this go? For a photo or Selfie, no in truth for the likes and hearts of strangers you've never actually had anything to do with. Maybe you know the answer to these questions and share it with us in your WednesdaysQuickies. But it would be nicer if you wrote about special moments in your life.
