Introducción

¡Hola! ¿Qué tal crypto amigos? ¿Cómo están? ¡Yo espero que muy bien! En el día de hoy vengo a traerles, como habrán visto por el título, un nuevo juego para el blog en formato de reseña escrita, como vengo haciendo con los juegos nuevos que traigo. En este caso se trata de Going Medieval, un constructor de ciudades y simulador de vida medieval, desarrolado por Foxy Vel y editado por The Irregular Corporation, los creadores de PC Building Simulator. Otro juego que se ha convertido en mi favorito en este tiempo y que realmente vale la pena darle una oportunidad, hoy te voy a contar un poco sobre él. Además tengo pensado y ya grabado varios capítulos para traer una serie en video del juego. La sociedad medieval se encuentra en las últimas instancias de supervivencia, todo está casi que perdido se podría decir. A finales del siglo XIV, más precisamente en el año 1337, casi toda la población mundial ha muerto gracias a una peste que no tiene cura. Casi no hay existencia de personas vivas en el planeta. Al pasar los años, surgen supervivientes de entre las cenizas de la sociedad. Nuestro objetivo es guiar a uno de estos grupos a la supervivencia de la especie, construyendo nuestro propio asentamiento y defendiéndonos de otros seres humanos que también han sobrevivido a la peste pero que en su mayoría son bandidos, bárbaros o fanáticos religiosos en busca de lo mismo, sobrevivir a la calamidad. Es ahí cuando empieza nuestra historia.

Acá abajo te voy a dejar los requisitos técnicos del juego, su precio y además su valoración. Más adelante explicaré, como siempre, el juego más en detalle. #### Ficha Técnica (STEAM) Podemos observar que los requirimientos son bastante altos. El procesador puede ser un poco viejito pero si o sí tenemos que tener 8gb de ram con una buena frecuencia de velocidad, ya que hay muchos objetos que cargan en éste juego. El espacio en disco es ínfimo, tan sólo 1GB, mientras que los gráficos pueden ser dedicados pero en ese caso recomendaría tener 16gb de ram debido a que los dedicados tomar recursos de las memorias. #### Valoración (STEAM) Su valoración es bastante positiva, teniendo un 87% de reseñas buenas en un total de 10,332 es bastante correcto para ser un juego de éste estilo y con una empresa indie detrás. ¿Qué es Going Medieval?

Going Medieval nos remonta a la plena edad medieval, en un asentamiento con unos pocos colonos donde deberemos sobrevivir, no sólo a ataques de enemigos, sino que además a las contingencias del tiempo, el hambre, la sed y hasta del aburrimiento. Tenemos que mantener a nuestros colonos felices aprovisionándolos de comida que nosotros mismos cosecharemos, de vino o cerveza que fabricaremos, de abrigarlos para el frío o hacer que se sientan cómodos en el verano, de ofrecerles mecanismos de diversión y además contentarlos con templos que adoren a diferentes Dioses, todo esto mientras construimos un asentamiento capaz de sostenerse por los siglos de los siglos. En Going Medieval tendremos que hacer todo, cazar animales, carnearlos, cocinarlos, talar madera para utilizarla, picar piedra para conseguir minerales, cocinar la cerveza, dejar que el vino fermente, domesticar animales, entre otras tantas cosas. #### Acceso anticipado Y esto es algo que me gustaría aclarar gente, el juego todavía sigue en acceso anticipado hace 1 año y medio, fíjense lo poco que han colocado y todo el contenido que todavía falta por ser incluido en el juego en éste increíble Roadmap que lo podemos encontrar dentro del mismo juego cuando lo abrimos en el menú principal. La última actualización fue hoy, donde arreglaron algunos bugs que hay con lo último que agregaron de los animales, eso para que sepan que la compañía sigue activa trabajando en el proyecto. ![image.png](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/cryptoalvirin/23tRxGEJaaBbGzTWn3WR9UGBmCFCttA2rVjQ38FsTbAtz4CM5gnVFhcCgf2yfuyzghsTf.png) #### Tipos de partida y dificultad En el juego encontraremos 3 formas de jugar nuestra partida además de poder elegir la dificultad. En este caso tenemos la opción estándar que nuestro asentamiento va a recibir asaltos con intervalos regulares y la dificultad de los mismos se va ajustando a medida que vamos avanzando en la partida, luego el modo pacífico que directamente no vamos a recibir ataques y por último el de supervivencia que en éste tendremos ataques de enemigos con mucha frecuencia, además de que su dificultad será mayor que en el estándar. El juego te plantea dos opciones básicas, "Una nueva vida" que te da 3 colonos, recursos moderados, equipo moderado y se inicia en la primavera, mientras que "Lobo Solitario" te da 1 sólo colono, recursos muy limitados, nada de equipo y empezas directamente en el invierno, la época más cruel del juego. Pero primero, colocaremos el nombre a nuestro asentamiento, erigiremos nuestro escudo a nuestro antojo y ahora sí buscaremos un lugar indicado para empezar nuestra partida. Podremos personalizar desde el aspecto físico hasta las destrezas, el trasfondo, las ventajas, la altura, el peso, los años, sus creencias religiosas, todo de cada uno de ellos. También se puede usar el botón aleatorizar para obtener un colono diferente cada vez que lo presionemos. Así forjaremos nuestros primeros colonos para nuestro asentamiento ![image.png](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/cryptoalvirin/23xALw5UNmKo2qx7RPq3PQfiQUdJtBAGZvpu7nwAwosFePcfmhrqGdfNASHq1KyCBHiGx.png) #### Destrezas, fondo y ventajas Cada colono tiene sus destrezas ya definidas, las cuáles determinan que tan bueno va a ser para "x" acción, cada una de ellas se explica sola, por ejemplo: si tiene muchos puntos en botánica va a ser bueno cultivando, cosechando, etc., en cambio si su puntaje es bueno en construcción va a ser rápido construyendo justamente, y así con todas las demás destrezas. El fondo es justamente la historia que tiene cada colono, ésto le aporta o le quita diferentes habilidades y estadísticas. Por último las ventajas va de la mano con el fondo, a ésta persona le sucedio "x" cuestión y por eso es así y por eso tiene ésta ventaja que le aporta "y" cantidad de puntos en Sabiduría. ![image.png](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/cryptoalvirin/23w2aNa9kFA1RW3CWF5NP6mPccx96wPaj9xa5PEg7hSF2Fqa1hWcqSpgVVwqg8amZqNeT.png) #### Trabajos Ya dentro de lo que sería nuestra partida, debemos asignarles trabajos diferentes a nuestros colonos ¿Cómo hacerlo? Fácil, se le coloca una prioridad del 1 al 5 a cada actividad siendo 1 la mayor prioridad y 5 la más baja. En el ejemplo del gif acá abajo pueden ver como le indico a Kateline que se dedique a construir colocándole un 1 en construcción mientras que a los otros dos les digo que su prioridad va a ser el transporte colocando también un 1, todas las demás tareas que tienen un 3 las van a empezar a realizar de izquierda a derecha una vez terminen de realizar las tareas colocadas con un 1. ![ezgif-2-d3b88e1022.gif](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/cryptoalvirin/23tSKxG49nmWfDe86tMKkqaANV9bLoFLtwZRTwfdkEGDhhhBi9pcsN79ThQ5Djq33bQ35.gif) #### Horarios Además debemos asignar los horarios que van a cumplir cada uno, generalmente está bueno agregarles a todos el mismo tipo de horario. En rojo tendremos el trabajo, azul el sueño y amarillo el ocio. Arriba se ven los números del 0 que represta las doce de la madrugada hasta el 23 que representa las once de la noche, debemos pintar el cuadradito correspondiente a cada hora con el color que creamos correcto. Es recomendable repartir, por lo menos, 6 horas de ocio en el día debido a que en esas horas se divierten, rezan y comen, mientras que en sueño por lo menos unas 7 horas y el resto ya puede ser todo trabajo, tal como en el gif. ![ezgif-2-d3b88e1022.gif](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/cryptoalvirin/23tbkSmpiCYidyCVCup2kGYmB5iJ9z2PCpSWpkr4D6bcP2siBha3fgWjU5uPG9CQQAEjJ.gif) #### Gestionar nuestros colonos En la pestaña de gestionar podremos indicarles a nuestros colonos que tipo de armamentos van a usar, que clase de armadura tienen que utilizar, tanto casco como escudo. El ejemplo de acá abajo es que en primavera hay mucha variedad de arbustos con bayas que podremos recolectar para alimentarnos, además es la época clave para empezar a sembrar. En el verano las temperaturas son altísimas, es por eso que debemos crear depósitos subterráneos como el del segundo gif que nos sirvan para mantener nuestros alimentos en una buena temperatura y no se nos echen a perder. El ejemplo que les dejo abajo es lo que siempre intento hacer, proteger con murallas y en la entrada colocar dobles puertas con un hueco en el medio para que los arqueros disparen a los que rompan y pasen la primer puerta doble. ![ezgif-2-d3b88e1022.gif](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/cryptoalvirin/23wBzq7UaLgjyPoaSivTd3f12xtRqmsbYxxtd4iJQpn7jjqAUT7SPonvJiZaJcH3JjGXW.gif) ![ezgif-2-d3b88e1022.gif](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/cryptoalvirin/23u5ztmJepUJHRKCuWdowAdpU7ce1UyfBFFy2q3Hm7JXnBHW34c8yP4EfsXUUFXTvo1zy.gif) #### Reclutamiento y defensa del primer ataque Para reclutar un colono y colocarle las armas para pelear, debemos seleccionar al mismo y apretar el cuernito que aparece debajo a la derecha en su interfaz o directamente presionar la tecla "T", automáticamente se equipara el arma asignada y podremos moverlo libremente a un lugar en concreto, en éste caso a los arqueros hay que llevarlos a zonas elevadas ya que en este juego se tienen muy en cuenta el tema de la altitud a la hora de disparar con un arco, se dispara de frente o desde abajo la precisión y el daño serán menores. Conclusiones

Todavía me faltan algunos aspectos que tratar, pero por lo menos lo más básico ya estuvo explicado y eso es lo que intentaba hacer con éste juego, tampoco quería saturarlos tanto. Más adelante, durante los gameplays que tengo pensando traer, van a haber más explicaciones y mejor detalladas. What is Going Medieval?

Going Medieval takes us back to the Middle Ages, in a settlement with a few settlers where we must survive, not only attacks from enemies, but also the contingencies of time, hunger, thirst and even boredom. We have to keep our settlers happy by supplying them with food that we will grow ourselves, with wine or beer that we will make, by keeping them warm in the cold or making them comfortable in the summer, by offering them amusement mechanisms and also by keeping them content with temples that worship God. different Gods, all this while building a settlement capable of sustaining itself for ever and ever. In Going Medieval we will have to do everything, hunt animals, butcher them, cook them, cut down wood to use it, crush stones to get minerals, cook beer, let wine ferment, tame animals, among many other things. #### Early Access And this is something that I would like to clarify people, the game is still in early access after 2 years, look how little they have put and all the content that is still missing to be included in the game in this incredible Roadmap that we can find inside of the same game when we open it in the main menu. Conclusions
