Although, the tradition has started far back from the Mughal Empire till date it is celebrated like any other traditions in our country. But this time it was little different. I went out with few of my friends and I must say, it was well worth it. This time we were out in one of the prestigious place of our city, the Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST). One of the most renowned public research University in Sylhet Bangladesh, established in 1986. > Shahjalal University of Science and Technology was established in 1986. The campus is located in Kumargaon, approximately six kilometers away from the heart of Sylhet City Centre. The university started its academic program with three departments: physics, chemistry, and economics. Renowned scientist and educator Sadruddin Ahmed Chowdhury was the first vice-chancellor of the university. The first convocation of SUST was held on 29 April 1998, the second on 6 December 2007, and the third on 8 January 2020.[7][8] At present, SUST has 7,662 students, 487 academic staffs and 772 administrative staffs; i.e. the university has 6.09 students per staff. Since SUST has been one of the best place where students actually gathers to celebrate different types of cultural events all through out the year. Which makes SUST a cultural hub for my city. At least for youth, this place is always considered a heaven. Not only that, the place is secured compared to other places where they arrange public events from time to time. In almost every occasions there are multiple events lined up for visitors to enjoy. Live music show, different types of stalls are given out by students, people all the Sylhet gather here to enjoy some time with their family and friends.

The most crucial event of this day usually happens when the day starts. This day usually there is a tradition where people start their day with Fermented Rice and Hilsha fish. To be honest, I am not a very big fan of either of these. But a tradition is indeed a tradition, nothing can be done with that. Another scenario which usually happens is, there is a rally which takes place during the start of the day. That is one of the most exciting part of the day. Usually it happens mostly in the capital city of Dhaka and in Sylhet we do not get to those events on that large of a scale. --- ##

Bioscope

___ I am quite sure that kids of these period have not even heard about Bioscope. It is one of those form of entertainment which is long gone. The way it is designed that there are wholes where you keep your eye on and there are different types of pictures keep on going which introduces different types of scenarios and people tend to enjoy them. As you can see, there are people who are who were enjoying the time while watching into the Bioscope. There was a time when this Bioscope was one of the most intrigued and enjoyable form of entertainment in village areas. MUSIC ARRANGEMENTS

___ A festival without music, that is literally unthinkable. So here comes the part where live music takes place and different types folk/ Sylheti Bangla songs were being played. The crowd was enjoying the music to their full extent. CAFETTERIA

___ This place was over packed. I must say people do sure loved to be out in here. And the most common attraction of this cafeteria was probably the tea out in here. Almost in every land there were some sort of banners, designs, posters and different types of artworks. Which was really mesmerizing. The students have done their best to bring life to the campus with their artworks.
