What is SWIM?

The Steemit platform is a metaphor of a huge ocean full of minnows, planktons, dolphins, sharks and finally... the big WHALES, that users that have a lot of SP and earn so much $ with their work, with that idea I thought about the fact that there's a lot of bad content (shitposting) in Steemit and the main reason for that is just the ignorance of the best practices in creating original quality content, so I developed a way to overcome that fact, I want to teach the people how to swim within that ocean.

SWIM is an initiative made to be a STEEM Blockchain School for the people who want to learn how to become entrepreneurs. Based on the experience of some Steemians, DTubers, DLivers, DSounders and more creators from all over the STEEM Blockchain world, all the people that have some talent or idea that want to use it to do a venture or want to invest in it will have the access to many communities (based on their talents), to mentors that will guide them through this world to know the best practices within the platform and more.

The Idea behind SWIM

I founded this project to make the difference in all the DApps where the people can give some value to the STEEM and STEEM Blockchain with quality content in many areas. My idea is to develop a team fulfill of mentors to guide new users (and even users that aren't in Steemit) to join the platform and become entrepreneurs to improve their lives. I'm Venezuelan, here in my country anyone can live and eat for a week with less than 10$.

With all the humanitarian crisis that we're going through right now, Steemit is a platform that can be a way to survive, there are countries that thanks to Steemit are becoming a better place to live like Nigeria and Venezuela (and from those countries you can see A LOT of talent within the platform, because Steemit is a way to survive, so the effort can be twice the normal). I want to be that first step to all the people that want to know how to use their talents to grow up and improve their lives, I want to help and guide their visions.

To make that work I planned some actions to attack the target required for this mission: the newcomers (within Steemit or not).

To achieve the goals I'll need some objectives that I'll be detailing soon in my updates, but in a general way are the next ones:

A mentoring team: I'll be looking for a team of quality authors that create a lot of valuable content within the platform and know really well the platform from the perspective of a type of art detailed (music, visual art, literature, gaming, blogging/vlogging and more). I'll need part of the budget to pay my mentors for their work.
Prizes for the students: There's no better way to motivate people to achieve some goals than rewarding them for it, for that matter I'll be taking part of the budget that I'll receive from here to award the students that achieve the goals within the project faster or better than others.
Bring talented people to Steemit: The target for this project are newcomers and some of them possibly won't have a Steemit account, so, to accelerate the procedure to create it I'm planning to fund the creation for some people with the budget of this project.
Rise up the SP to help some of the talents more directly: I'm planning to use my personal account to curate the content that the students (that previously had the respective revision) share in the project and also to bring that work to another project where they can receive a 2$ upvote at least for making quality content for the platform. (note: This project WON'T be a curation project, I just want to give them an additional help for their valuable content).

My mission to achieve these first objectives are the next ones:

Ensure transparency in procedures: For the purpose of reaching all the objectives, I want to make all the procedures really transparent so every backer and collaborator can be in trust with the project. With this matter, I'll do the next: the 40% of the budget will be used to power up my personal account SP for the 4th objective, 10% will be for my right-hand on this project, the Mr. @juandvg for being the person that actually help me develop this project and the other 50% will go to an account made for the project called @swimproject. That account will be the wallet for the project, within it will be the mentor's payment, prizes for the students and all the STEEM that should be used in liquid for the project purpose.
Create a Discord Server for the project: As you probably know, the best way to communicate with other people that are within Steemit is using the Discord app, I'll make a Discord Server that would have special rooms and roles for every tipe of artist and creators that come to the project.
Look for the mentoring team: I'll be making a lookup for the people that will be part of my mentor's team and I'll be updating the objectives every 7 days in my personal Steemit blog (and will be resteemed by the @swimproject account to have a record about the project), talking about all the activities that I'll be making until the first launch of the project, listing the students and their evolution within the project.

The Team Behind SWIM

Currently, the team is growing up because I keep in negotiations with some contacts that I have on the Steemit platform as the witness @castellano and some friends who have helped me to develop the idea. For the moment my team is made up of @juandvg and me, Juan is an architecture student, Venezuelan, singer and artist who understands enough how the platform works from the perspective of quality content creator. He's the one who keeps the account of @stellae, an account used with the purpose of being the curation project of the @elarca community, which is a project to support artists to develop and promote their artistic projects inside and outside of Steemit. He's the co-creator of SWIM project.

I also have some commercial allies that will be the connection of SWIM with other great initiatives, people like @joedukeg (creator of the @celfmagazine project in Steemit) and more.

My name is Guillermo Hernández, I'm a musician, songwriter, writer, gamer and Microsoft Certified Professional in Web Development, Venezuelan, 24 years old, entrepreneur and crypto-enthusiast. In Steemit I've 8 months of activity and I've achieved the following facts:

Leader and influential artist in the Spanish-speaking community.
Co-creator and commercial ally with Steemit of the @guacamedia project to bring musical talents from Venezuela to Steemit.
Co-creator and judge of the "SING IT" contest (11 weeks of activity paying 10-15 STEEMS to the singers of the platform).
Curie Prospective curator, curator in the projects @la-colmena and @archdruid (communities derived from @curie).
Support and external curator in the @elarca project.
Ambassador of Fundition in Venezuela.
Opting to be a Steemit Ambassador in Venezuela through the @promo-steem project.
Musical Mentor, I had a podcast called "El Sonido de Ilazra (The Ilazra's Sound)" for almost 5 months guiding new musicians in the musical movement of Steemit.
Winner of several contests in many disciplines (music, writing, gaming, etc) on Steemit.
Exceptional (and bilingual) Quality Content creator.
Blogger and new DTuber.
Engaged with many projects (both Spanish-speakers and English-speakers) such as @helpie, @c-squared, @elarca, @celfmagazine, @reveur and others.

The Budget Purpose

For the first objectives and the goal, a budget of $ 500 will be required to be a "Kickstarter" to begin the work during the first 2 months, the budget will be divided as follows:

$ 200 that will be used to pay mentors for their work, my idea is to have a team of 5 mentors (at the beginning) and pay each 5 STEEMS per week of work which would give a total of 25 STEEMS per week, each Month has 4 weeks, that would result in 100 STEEMS and if we want to work with this strategy for two months would result in 200 STEEMS (the STEEM price actually is oscillating from 0.7 to 0.9$).
300 $ will be used to power up my personal account @ilazramusic and the project account @swimproject, part of this will also be used to devise an award for the best student in each discipline (6 in total) and besides that create a fund to create new Steemit accounts for some students who choose to enter the project (at least 10 accounts which would result in 50 STEEMS).

My idea (in the long term) is to turn this project into something huge that can support other causes with financial support, either with liquid STEEM or with Delegations to help grow those projects within the platform. Projects such as contest, initiatives, communities, etc. While it's coming to that moment I'll use the @swimproject account to sell its vote to @smartsteem and thus be able to cultivate daily SP to make it grow, then from all the SP in my personal account I'll be delegating to the project account for future decisions.

I really need your help to start this project that will change the platform in a really BIG way. If we attack the bad content since the beginning and guide them through the best practices to become quality content creators then the value of the STEEM will rise up, the platform will be fulfilled with awesome content and so the creators and curators will make a life in a better way within the platform. And all that I can say now is STEEM ON!

¿Qué es SWIM?

La plataforma de Steemit es vista como una metáfora de un gran océano lleno de pequeños peces, plancton, delfines, tiburones y finalmente... las grandes BALLENAS, esos usuarios que tienen mucho SP y ganan muchos $ con su trabajo, pensando un poco al respecto me di cuenta de que hay un problema que le está haciendo mucho daño a este "océano" de posibilidades, esto es el contenido basura. Como solución a dicho problema se me ocurrió el crear un proyecto para enseñar a las personas a nadar en este vasto océano, así surgió SWIM (palabra que en español significa nadar).

SWIM es una iniciativa creada para ser una escuela de la cadena de bloques de STEEM y del STEEM mismo para las personas que quieren aprender cómo convertirse en emprendedores. Basándonos en la experiencia de algunos Steemians, DTubers, DLivers, DSounders y más creadores de todo el mundo de la cadena de bloques de STEEM, todas las personas que tengan algún talento o idea que pueda ayudarlos para hacer un proyecto o deseen invertir en ello, tendrán el acceso a muchas comunidades (en función de sus talentos), a mentores que los guiarán a través de este mundo para conocer las mejores prácticas dentro de la plataforma y más.

La idea detrás de SWIM

Fundé este proyecto para marcar la diferencia en todas las DApps (Aplicaciones Descentralizadas), donde las personas pueden darle más valor al STEEM y a la cadena de bloques de STEEM con contenido de calidad en muchas áreas. Mi idea es desarrollar un equipo de mentores para guiar a los nuevos usuarios (e incluso a los usuarios que no están en Steemit) para unirse a la plataforma y convertirse en emprendedores para mejorar sus vidas. Yo soy venezolano, aquí en mi país, cualquiera puede vivir y comer durante una semana con menos de 10 $, en Steemit no es difícil alcanzar esa suma entre varias publicaciones en una semana.

Con toda la crisis humanitaria que estamos viviendo en este momento, Steemit es una plataforma que puede ser una forma de sobrevivir, y es un hecho que hay países que gracias a Steemit se están convirtiendo en un mejor lugar para vivir como Nigeria y Venezuela (y desde esos países cualquier persona puede encontrar MUCHO talento dentro de la plataforma, porque Steemit se usa con un sentido de supervivencia, por lo que el esfuerzo puede ser el doble de lo normal para hacer contenido de calidad). Quiero ser el primer paso para todas las personas que quieren saber cómo usar sus talentos para crecer y mejorar sus vidas. Quiero ayudar y guiar sus visiones.

Para realizar este trabajo he planeado algunas acciones para atacar el blanco principal de mi proyecto: los nuevos creadores (dentro de Steemit o no).

Para alcanzar las metas, necesitaré algunos objetivos que detallaré pronto en mis actualizaciones, pero de forma general son los siguientes:

Un equipo de mentoría: buscaré un equipo de mentores los cuales serán creadores activos dentro de cualquier plataforma que esté dentro de la cadena de bloques de STEEM (Steemian, DTube, DLive, DSound, Ulog, Elegance, etc) para enseñar a las personas a realizar las mejores prácticas dentro de la plataforma. Necesitaré parte del presupuesto que recolectaré para pagarle a los mentores por su trabajo.
Premios para los estudiantes: no hay mejor manera de motivar a las personas para lograr algunos objetivos que recompensándolos por ello, con base en ese sentido, tomaré parte del presupuesto que recibiré acá para premiar a los estudiantes que logren los objetivos más rápido o de una manera más efectiva que otros dentro del proyecto (algo así como un premio a la excelencia).
Traer gente talentosa a Steemit: el objetivo de este proyecto es crear nuevos autores de calidad dentro de Steemit y cualquier otra DApp que pueda conectarse con ella en la cadena de bloques de STEEM. Muchos de estos autores posiblemente no tendrán acceso a una cuenta de Steemit, entonces, para acelerar los procedimientos, posiblemente haga falta algo de presupuesto para crear algunas cuentas en la plataforma.
Aumentar el SP para ayudar a algunos de los talentos de forma más directa: planeo usar mi cuenta personal para curar parte del contenido que los estudiantes (que previamente pasen por una revisión respectiva) compartan en el proyecto, además de enviar dicho contenido a otro proyecto en el que hago vida como curador donde podrán recibir una recompensa de 2$ aproximadamente en sus publicaciones. (nota: este proyecto NO será un proyecto de curación, solo quiero darles una ayuda adicional por su valioso contenido).

Mi misión para cumplir los objetivos anteriormente planteados son los siguientes:

Asegurar la transparencia en los procedimientos: con el fin de alcanzar todos los objetivos, quiero que todos los procedimientos sean realmente transparentes para que cada patrocinador y colaborador pueda confiar plenamente en el proyecto. Con base en lo anterior haré lo siguiente: el 40% del presupuesto se usará para hacer Power Up en mi cuenta personal, así puedo aumentar mi SP para cumplir el cuarto objetivo, el 10% irá para mi mano derecha en este proyecto, el Sr. @juandvg por ser la persona que realmente me ha ayudado a desarrollar todas las ideas desde sus raíces y el otro 50% irá a una cuenta creada para el proyecto llamado @swimproject. Esa cuenta será la billetera para el proyecto, dentro de ella estará el pago de los mentores, los premios para los estudiantes y todos los STEEM que deban usarse en líquido para el propósito del proyecto.
Crear un Servidor de Discord para el proyecto: como probablemente todos sabemos, la mejor manera de comunicarse con otras personas que están dentro de Steemit es usando la aplicación Discord, haré un Servidor de Discord que tendrá salas y roles especiales para cada tipo de artista y creadores que vengan al proyecto.
Buscar el equipo de mentores: buscaré a las personas que formarán parte del equipo mentoría y actualizaré los objetivos cada 7 días en mi blog personal de Steemit (y será resteemeado por la cuenta @swimproject para llevar un registro), hablando sobre todas las actividades que realizaré hasta el primer lanzamiento del proyecto, hablando sobre los estudiantes y su evolución dentro del proyecto y más.

El Equipo detrás de SWIM

Actualmente el equipo está en crecimiento pues me mantengo en negociaciones con algunos contactos que tengo dentro de la plataforma de Steemit como el testigo @castellano y algunos amigos que han aportado ideas para este proyecto. Por los momentos mi equipo está conformado por @juandvg y mi persona, Juan es un estudiante de arquitectura, Venezolano, cantante y artista que entiende bastante cómo funciona la plataforma desde una perspectiva de un creador de contenido de calidad. Él es el que lleva la cuenta de @stellae, cuenta utilizada con el propósito de ser el proyecto de curación de la comunidad @elarca, la cual es un proyecto para apoyar artistas a desarrollar e impulsar sus proyectos artísticos dentro y fuera de Steemit. Es el co-creador de este proyecto.

Además tengo algunos aliados comerciales que serán la conexión de SWIM con otras grandes iniciativas, personas como @joedukeg (creador del proyecto @celfmagazine en Steemit) y más.

El Propósito del Presupuesto

Para los primeros objetivos y la meta, se va a requerir un presupuesto de 500$ para ser un "pequeño empujón" para comenzar con el trabajo durante los primeros 2 meses, dicho presupuesto será dividido de la sigiuente manera:

200$ que serán utilizados para pagarle a los mentores por su trabajo, mi idea es tener un equipo de 5 mentores (al principio) y pagarles a cada uno 5 STEEMS por semana de trabajo lo que daría un total de 25 STEEMS por semana, cada mes tiene 4 semanas, eso daría como resultado 100 STEEMS y si queremos trabajar con esta estrategia durante dos meses daría como resultado 200 STEEMS (el STEEM oscila entre 0.7 y 0.9$).
300$ serán usados para hacer Power Up en mi cuenta personal @ilazramusic y en la cuenta del proyecto @swimproject, también se usará parte de esto para idear una premiación para el mejor alumno de cada disciplina (6 en total) y además de eso se creará un fondo para crear cuentas nuevas de Steemit para algunos estudiantes que opten por entrar al proyecto (al menos unas 10 cuentas lo que daría como resultado 50 STEEMS porque crear una cuenta cuesta 5 STEEMS).

Mi idea (a largo plazo) es convertir este proyecto en algo enorme que pueda apoyar otras causas con apoyo financiero, ya sea con STEEM líquido o con Delegaciones para ayudar a crecer esos proyectos dentro de la plataforma. Proyectos como concursos, iniciativas, comunidades, etc. Mientras se llega a ese momento utilizaré la cuenta @swimproject para vender su voto a @smartsteem y así poder cultivar SP diario para hacerla crecer, luego lo que sea recaudado en mi cuenta personal será delegado a dicha cuenta para futuras decisiones.

Realmente necesito toda la ayuda posible para comenzar este proyecto que cambiará la plataforma de una manera realmente ENORME. Si atacamos el contenido basura desde el principio y guiamos a los autores a través de las mejores prácticas de la plataforma para convertirlos en creadores de contenido de calidad, entonces el valor del STEEM aumentará, la plataforma se llenará de contenido valioso e increíble y los creadores y curadores harán vida de una mejor manera dentro de la plataforma.
