Weekly Training Summary - Plus The Trail Run

I didn't expect a lot from this trail run but was humbled by the mud. I think next time this race is on, I am going to go watch the guys up the front of the race to see how they tackle the mud. Apparently this race always has a lot of mud, but I also found this really slippery going both up hill and down hill. I was wearing trail shoes but they didn’t seem to really make a difference. I know I don’t do nearly enough trails but it definitely showed during this race because when I could get some traction, the runners around me, dropped away without any issues, but as soon as I was slipping everywhere, I had to pull over and let them all through. My shoes were bright yellow at the start of the run, but not any more.
