**Graphically it is a more than good game, without being the best of the Mega Drive catalog, Jewel Master is graphically capable enough to be able to be seen well on screen. The sprite of our protagonist enjoys good size and has details in its design that make it stand out from the vast majority of the sprites of other characters that we will find in this adventure, although I have to say that its design is simple and reminded me a little of the old design of the first Castlevania. The scenarios are varied, but many of them lack good details and the background of them is quite poor, without many decorations, which makes them look visually boring and monotonous. Although it is a game that manages to set in a "decent" way a whole magical and medieval aspect, although it is not spectacular, let's say it fulfills its purpose but without standing out too much. **Continuando con los juegos ambientados en un entorno de aventura medieval, el juego del cual les hablaré hoy lo he tenido el pausa desde hace muchos meses, incluso creo que hasta hace un año que tengo este juego en la lista de “juegos por jugar” y por fin he podido jugarlo. Con mucha acción, plataformas y elementos de run and gun, estamos ante un título entretenido, con mucha magia y todos los elementos característicos de todo aquello relacionado a la aventura medieval de fantasía, quizás no sea un juego espectacular, pero resulta ser bastante entretenido, aunque su duración es bastante baja, por lo que en máximo una hora se puede completar. Como dato curioso, hay una serie de juegos que creo que son tipo Candy Crush o algo así, no quise investigar de qué se trataba esa saga de videojuegos, que tiene el mismo nombre que este. Es raro cuando juegos comparten un mismo nombre y son de géneros totalmente diferentes, me pregunto cómo funciona todo el tema de la propiedad intelectual con respecto a los nombres en este tipo de casos. **Un juego como este no es de sorprender que cuente con una historia simple y típica, un argumento central que solo sirve como punto de inicio para la aventura y misión de nuestro protagonista para poder salvar a su reino. Inicia el juego y se nos muestran por medio de escenas que estamos en el reino de Mythgard y este fue atacado por Jardine el loco y sus ejercito de fuerzas del mal, ellos usando su magia poderosa ha sucumbido al reino entre el caos y la oscuridad a pesar de que 12 maestros enfocados en la magia elemental intentaron detenerlo. Pero el héroe de esta historia aparece, el cual tiene como misión además de salvar a su reino, también debe reunir y encontrar unos anillos mágicos que se encuentran repartidos por todo el reino de Mythgard, por lo que nuestro héroe se embarca en una aventura sin igual y al reunir todos los anillos necesarios deberá enfrentarse a Jardine y derrotarlo de una vez por todas y para siempre. **Gráficamente es un juego más que bueno, sin ser el mejor del catálogo de la Mega Drive, Jewel Master es lo suficientemente capaz gráficamente como para que se logre ver bien en pantalla. El sprite de nuestro protagonista goza de buen tamaño y cuenta con detalles en su diseño que lo hacen destacar sobre la gran mayoría de los sprites de otros personajes que encontraremos en esta aventura, aunque he decir que su diseño es simple y me recordó un poco a los diseño antiguos de los primeros Castlevania. Los escenarios son variados, pero muchos de ellos carecen de buenos detalles y el fondo de los mismos es bastante pobre, sin muchos decorados, lo que hace que visualmente sea vean aburridos y monótonos. Aunque es un juego que logra ambientar de manera “decente” todo un aspecto mágico y medieval, aunque no sea espectacular, digamos que cumple con su propósito pero sin destacar demasiado. Los jefes finales si gozan de un mejor apartado gráfico, teniendo sprites grandes y con más detalles, aunque hay alguno que otro que es bastante simplón. **Este es un sin duda su mejor apartado y aunque la acción no llegue a ser tan rápida como otros juegos similares, la música si lo es, es decir, el ritmo musical de la gran mayoría de melodías de este juego creo que encajaría mejor con otro título cuya acción sea más frenética, ya que la movilidad de este juego no es tan rápida. En términos de jugabilidad, estamos ante un juego de scroll lateral donde nuestro protagonista puede equiparse una serie de anillos distintos que nos otorgan todo tipo de ataques mágicos. Pudiendo equipar dos anillos en cada mano, debemos elegir y observar cual anillo es el mejor que se adapte al enemigo que nos estemos enfrentando, ya que algunos ataques serán más efectivos contra ciertos tipos de enemigos, dándole así un pequeño aspecto de estrategia que pese a no una mecánica tan profunda, llegue a ser entretenido aprender que hace cada anillo. Teniendo incluso anillos que nos darán defensas y no solo ataques. Jewel Master es un juego simple más allá de sus combinaciones de ataques gracias a los anillos que iremos obteniendo, ya que la principal mecánica de este juego es avanzar en un entorno de scroll lateral horizontal, con ciertos elementos de plataformeo, mientras derrotamos a cuanto enemigo se nos tope de frente, utilizando un estilo similar a un juego del genero run and gun y posteriormente enfrentarnos a un jefe final.
