**¡Saludos, Hive!** Pues si, como leyeron en el título de este post, hoy 3 de enero es mi cumpleaños, y la verdad es que es un día un poco complicado para mí, suelo sentirme bastante melancólico y con los ánimos bajos. No puedo decir que este año es la excepción, pero haciendo retrospectiva de lo que fue el 2021 para mí, puedo darme cuenta de que a pesar que mi vida sigue siendo más complicada de lo que me gusta, es innegable que he construido una base sólida para por fin ser libre de todas las cosas que me atormentan. Después de una larga depresión y una racha de momentos realmente malos de mi vida, en el 2021 comencé a retomar el control de mis emociones y mi alrededor. Créanme, de verdad no se imaginan lo que ha significado Hive en mi vida, tanto en lo económico como en lo emocional/personal. Estar aquí, escribiendo, leyendo, aprendiendo, ha sido no solo un refugio sino una terapia y es que, de alguna u otra manera suelo identificarme con el contenido que consumo (películas, anime, videojuegos) y escribir acerca de este contenido es casi como escribir acerca de mí mismo, me ha ayudado a entender mucho de mí y a salir de mi zona de confort respecto a lo laboral. Por supuesto no puedo dejar de mencionar la significativa mejora que ha tenido mi economía gracias a Hive, si bien estoy muy lejos de donde quiero estar, lo que importa es que cada día estoy un poco más cerca, me he permitido hacer y planear muchas cosas que antes no podía, y pronto voy a hacer una compra grande e importante que va a cambiar por completo el rumbo de mi vida… Y todo gracias a Hive. ![yo.jpg](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/alejandroaldana/EpEJCtWUFVLuB741MzWTW3aRWUDDFgxf4L92vLvTWjsJj6BV22fXYQekbBVJCBkixzd.jpg)

No les voy a mentir, fue bastante devastador, sobre todo por el hecho de que siento que fue una situación muy injusta pues verán; con esta persona tenía una larga relación, más o menos unos 4 o 5 años, pero para el momento que comenzamos mi depresión estaba en su punto más bajo… Por lo que sí, fue bastante difícil. Le hice muchas cosas malas de las que no me enorgullezco ni justifico y todo por las cicatrices que otra persona dejó en mí, si, lo sé, sé que eso no me libra de ninguna forma de la culpa ni de la responsabilidad de mis acciones, de hecho eso mismo hizo que desarrollara un sentido de culpa bastante toxico hacia mí mismo. Sin embargo ella fue mucho mejor que yo y mucho mejor que todas las cosas malas, y gracias a ella, a su amor y su paciencia, pudimos hacer que funcionara. Por mi parte, la terapia, el trabajo en mí mismo, mis amigos, todo esto me ayudó a salir adelante y a deshacerme de la horrible persona que fui en ese momento. Y aunque por fin todo estaba bien… La vida tenía planes distintos para nosotros. En estos tres últimos meses del año me acerqué de nuevo a alguien que ha sido sumamente dañina para mi salud emocional, quizás motivado por el recuerdo de lo que fue, proyecté en ella unas expectativas que nunca debieron existir, y si bien al comienzo todo fue maravilloso, lo cierto es que las cosas no tardaron en complicarse. De parte de ella comenzaron a aparecer actitudes extrañas, mentiras y engaños, ya saben, todas las cosas dañinas de una relación y el motivo principal por el cual nos separamos, y la verdad es que no fue nada difícil averiguarlo; no obstante yo he cambiado y ya no soy el mismo hombre de hace 7 años, comencé a asumir todo de la manera más inteligente y responsable posible, a tener paciencia, a escuchar, a entender, a conversar, pero sencillamente nada funcionó, y fue entonces cuando entendí que yo había evolucionado y que había dejado atrás todos los hábitos tóxicos que en algún momento me definieron, mientras que ella pues… Seguía en el mismo lugar de siempre, cosa que siendo sincero me da bastante lástima... A pesar de que me siento melancólico y a la expectativa de lo que vaya a pasar hoy, lo cierto es que me siento feliz de estar aquí, me siento feliz de estar vivo y de no haber podido dar el paso nunca, me siento feliz de que hoy recibiré un beso y un abrazo de mi mamá por mi cumpleaños y de que muy probablemente celebré con mis amigos más tarde. Gracias a todo esto es que este cumpleaños es tan significativo para mí y por lo que decidí hacer este post. Agradecer a todas las personas que han hecho que mi vida sea lo que es hoy es bastante tedioso, por lo que si eres mi amigo y estás leyendo estas palabras… Sabes que esto es contigo. **Greetings, Hive!** Well yes, as you can read in this post’s tittle, today January 3rd is my birthday, and the truth is that it's a bit of a complicated day for me, I usually feel quite melancholic and with low spirits. I can't say that this year is the exception, but looking back on what 2021 was like for me, I can realize that even though my life is still more complicated than I like, it’s undeniable that I have built a solid foundation to finally free myself from all the things that torment me. After a long depression and a streak of really bad moments in my life, in 2021 I started to regain control of my emotions and my surroundings. Trust me; you really have no idea about what Hive has meant in my life, both financially and emotionally/personally. Being here, writing, reading, learning, has been not only a refuge but a therapy and, in some way or another, I usually identify myself with the media I consume (movies, anime, video games) and writing about this content is almost like writing about myself, it has helped me to understand a lot about myself and to get me out of my comfort zone regarding work. Of course I cannot fail to mention the significant improvement that my economy has had thanks to Hive, although I’m far away from where I want to be, what matters is that every day I'm a little closer, I have allowed me to do and plan many things that before I could not, and soon I will make a big and important purchase that will completely change the course of my life ... And that is that someone very important in my life emigrated from Venezuela on June 26th. I'm not going to lie to you, it was quite devastating, especially because I feel it was a very unfair situation because you see; I had a long relationship with this person, more or less about 4 or 5 years, but by the time we started dating my depression was at its lowest point... So yes, it was quite difficult. I did a lot of bad things to her that I am not proud about of or justify, and everything due to the scars someone else left on me. Yes I know, I know that in no way frees me from guilt or responsibility for my actions, in fact that caused me to develop a rather toxic sense of guilt towards myself. However she was much better than me and much better than all the bad stuff, and thanks to her, her love and her patience, we were able to make it work. For my part, therapy, working on myself, my friends, all of this helped me to move forward and get rid of the horrible person I was at the time. And even though everything was finally okay... Life had different plans for us. You see, as I told you I’m usually someone quite nostalgic and as a result of that same nostalgia I tend to make bad decisions driven only by a nice memory. In these year’s last three months I got close again to someone who has been extremely harmful to my emotional health, perhaps motivated by the memory of what was, I projected on her some expectations that should never have existed, and although at the beginning everything was wonderful, the truth is that things soon became complicated. On her part, strange attitudes, lies and deceit began to appear, you know, all the harmful things in a relationship and the main reason why we separated, and the truth is that it wasn’t difficult to find out; However I have changed and I am no longer the same man from 7 years ago, I began to assume everything in the most intelligent and responsible way possible, to have patience, to listen, to understand, to talk, but simply nothing worked, and it was then when I understood that I had evolved and that I had left behind all the toxic habits that at some point defined me, while she well.... She was still in the same place she had always been, which to be honest makes me feel quite sorry for her. .. Well, it's simple, two years ago I wasn’t even the shadow of the person who is writing this post, two years ago I wanted so hard not to be alive that I made two attempts against my life, two years ago I would never have dared to enter Hive, two years ago I would never have accepted someone’s farewell so good, and more importantly: two years ago I would not have had enough self-esteem to walk away from someone who has hurt me so much. Even though I feel melancholic and in expectation about what is going to happen today, the truth is that I feel happy to be here, I feel happy to be alive and to have never been able to take the step, I feel happy that today I will receive a kiss and a hug from my mom for my birthday and that I will most probably celebrate with my friends later. That’s why this birthday is so meaningful to me and also the reason to write this post. To thank all the people who have made my life what it is today is quite tedious, so if you are my friend and you are reading these words... You know that this is with you. Hoy, 3 de enero del 2022 y con recién cumplidos 28 años de edad, puedo decir que estoy feliz de estar aquí y que todo lo que he logrado es apenas el comienzo. Nunca me voy a rendir.
