Not very much progress in the last week as I haven't been very active on Steemit, actually that may not be entirely true, a more accurate description would be not overly active as I usually am. As a result of spending less time for posting and curating some stats are down, I was also a bit sick last week and at times like that my productivity usually gets down quite a bit from the usual level.

What I've Been Posting About Last Week

In the last week most of my posts were about technology, including three in-depth tech reviews of products... I haven't done such for a while, so I decided to give it a try again since my previous such product reviews got a moderate success. Doing an in-depth tech review of a product is not an easy thing as besides the sufficient amount of knowledge and experience you still need to spend quite some time testing and then writing the review. So I'm probably going to again give it some more time before doing some more tech reviews on Steemit...

The Tech Review of Qnap HS-251+ 2-Bay Silent Network Attached Storage did the best with a bit over $110 SBD reward and gaining 167 votes. This was probably the longest post I made on Steemit so far and it is probably the one that I got the most votes on since I started posting on Steemit.

The Tech Review of D-Link PowerLine AV2 1000 Gigabit and AV2 2000 Gigabit Adapters I did also made it pretty well in terms of reward with a bit over $48 SBD and 82 votes. The topic about PowerLine network adapters is quite interesting apparently not only for me.

The Tech Review of 512GB SanDisk X400 SSD, An Affordable and Fast TLC Drive did not do very well with just about $0.44 SBD reward even though the post did get 90 votes, so maybe the topic about SSDs was not that interesting or it just went unnoticed by people with more voting power. Whatever the reason, it is a bit discouraging considering the time and effort it takes to produce content something like that, so I will probably make another pause for a while and the next week I will be focusing on other topics.

What is common for the three reviews that I have published last week is that even though some of them managed to get decent rewards and all of them got a lot of user votes there were barely any comments. I have previously discussed about this trend on Steemit and it seems that not much has yet changed about it. The thing is that authors surely like to get decent rewards and number of votes for the content they produce, but it is even more important for most of them (me included) to engage other users that might be interested in the topic. This is the reason that I'm mostly pausing posts on some of the topics that I cover, because even if they manage to do well in terms of reward and number of votes they get if there is not a lot of user engagement in the comments.
