This was taken at Dee Wright Observatory in late October. It is located at the top of McKenzie Pass on HWY 242 in the Central Oregon Cascade Mountain Range. The road was closed for the winter shortly after I got this shot. I love the little pie wedge reflection of the setting sun on the copper peak identifying disk. I had the whole place to myself for the evening and it was a truly magical moment.
