Singapore Michelin Hawker Food 新加坡米其林美食-了凡油鸡饭

几年前，米其林颁了美食奖给两家新加坡小贩中心内的摊贩，号称全世界最便宜的米其林美食。这两家分别为大华猪肉粿条面与了凡香港油鸡饭。
Few years back, Michelin awarded Star Award to two Singaporean hawker food stalls and these were the cheapest food Michelin Star ever awarded to.

其中了凡油鸡饭好像冲力十足，这些年在新加坡扩充开了不少分店。
One of the winners Liao Fan Soy Sauce Chicken Rice, they are more aggressive in expansion and have already opened few branches in Singapore.

我有个新加坡朋友曾经告诉我，他之前在米其林颁奖后、慕名去到了凡油鸡饭的本摊（牛车水小贩中心）排队，结果排了1小时半，味道真是不错，推荐我一定要试试。可是那时我还是觉得要我排1小时队来吃鸡饭是恐怕永远做不到的事。
One of my Singaporean Friends once told me, he ever queued at the China Town main stall after the award announcement , and this cost him handsome 1.5hours to reach his turn. And he strongly recommended me to give it a try as it's nice. Hearing the need to queue 1.5hours shun me away although it's tasty.

后来他家同样在牛车水、本摊的隔壁街开了冷气餐馆，我有经过看见一样是大排长龙，而这之中很多是外来游客，手中都是拿着旅游书或地图的。
They opened up first branch in China Town also, just the next street to the original one. I saw the queue was very long also, and many in queue were tourists who is holding tourist map or travel guide book.


直到后来他把分行开到了大巴窑、我以前居住过的城镇，我就打算如果我经过他家店、而有位子坐、不需我排长龙，我就会光顾看看是否真的那么好吃。
And later they open yet another branch in Toa Payoh- a town that I used to stay when first came to Singapore. Then I decided that if happened that I passing-by the shop and the queue is reasonable, then I would give it a try.

可能那时他家也开了不少分店，分散人流了、同时领奖了颇久的时间，去到他大巴窑分店一如我所期盼-有位子且不必排长龙，就可以一尝这米其林美食了。
Maybe there were quite many branches around, and it's been sometime after the Michelin awarded had already disperse the crowd. When happened to passby the restaurant in Toa Payoh- there were seats and no long queue, then the chance had finally come.

说真的，我不是什么食饕，无法形容该美食有多么好吃；就我而言，了凡油鸡饭的确是好吃的，而且难能可贵的是，它的价钱很厚道，一盘领了米其林大奖的美食油鸡饭，配上舒适的冷气用餐环境，价钱也仅是新币3.80 （大约人民币19）。这样的价格可要让其他鸡饭摊贩尴尬了-没冷气的小贩中心里，普通海南鸡饭都卖新币3-3.50了。
To me, Liao Fan Soya Sauce Chicken is quite tasty, and the most importantly, their price is very affordable. Imagine a plate of soy sauce Chicken rice with Michelin Award, dine in air-conditioned shop, and the price is only SGD3.80. This super-friendly price will embarrass other hawkers who sell normal chicken rice in no-aircond hawker center or food court, their price already range from SGD3-3.50 .

现在他们家开了这么多连锁分店，我想他们的油鸡饭就算不是最好吃的，也会是最公道的。
Now they have opened up many branches- I think even their soy sauce chicken rice may not be the best in the town, but their price should be among the most reasonable.

云吞汤也不错，新币5元.
Wanton Soup also not bad, SGD5.

大家有到牛车水旅游逛街，不妨一试，它堪称全牛车水最便宜、最值得一试的美食。又或者大家来到大巴窑，想转搭巴士到孙中山纪念馆，也可以到距离巴士转换站不远的了凡油鸡饭店试一试口味。
Recommend everyone to try it when you happen to come Singapore China Town, I think this is among the cheapest yet tasty food around the city. Or you can try it when you come Toa Payoh- it located not far from the bus interchange.
