MM Photography series: "Greengrey"

Todays weapon of choice will be this rustic building in National Botanic Garden in Dublin. Eaten by the time and mold it is slowly becoming one with the nature around it and all the greenery.

Even though building is the first thing that draws attention in this picture it is the tree that fits almost perfectly in the center. Next thing we can notice is the green bush; the road in front matches with grey background building. Lot of daylight is darkened by the dominant gray and tree that is in good contrast with the background white from the clouds. Main thing pictured here is the building and what is in the focus is obviously tree in the middle ground and yet picture can be divided into more planes if we look at the blue sky. Building with its greenish grey fits nicely with the green bush and part of the grey road. Pattern of the tree branches looks so trippy and disorienting.

Somehow it makes me think of the life itself and how it is incorporated into tree of life with us all being connected one way or another. As a human being, living being, all the complexity of life from genes, proteins, atoms, organs, neurotransmitters, ATP... I could go on forever, but I will not, I can’t…that is the point of life. Death.

Nature can be so interesting with its patterns, color and composition. It always tends to be alive even though its life course is only eat, sleep, drink, breath; reproduce; repeat and die.
