Today I have begun a new painting that I will share the progress in pictures with you
I wanted to paint a family portrait inspired by a photo I much love, so here is the base of my project : this sketch I have made from the picture
Aujourd'hui j'ai commencé un tableau dont je vais partager la progression en images avec vous _
Je voulais peindre un portrait de famille inspiré par une photo que j'aime beaucoup, donc voici la base de mon projet : le dessin que j'ai fait à partir de l'image
What was important for me was to keep the composition, and especially the feeling of unity and love that is present .... The point is not to make a realistic portrait but rather to perform the photo my way and according to my style ... ;-)
This photo represents my children and me in 2002.
Ce qui était important pour moi était de garder la composition, et surtout le sentiment d'unité et d'amour qui est présent....Il ne s'agit pas de faire un portrait réaliste mais de d’interpréter la photo à ma manière et selon mon style...;-)
Cette photo représente mes enfants et moi en 2002.
- 1/ I retrieved a thick cardboard (back of notepad) ~
j'ai recuperé un carton épais (dos de bloc-notes) - 2/ that I covered with 2-3 layers of Gesso ~
que j'ai recouvert de 2-3 couches de Gesso
- 3/ I color blocks with my Neocolor II pencils that are water soluble ~
j'ai colorié des espaces rectangulaires avec mes crayons solubles à l'eau Neocolor II
- 5/ Once my colors applied ~
Une fois mes couleurs appliquées - 6/ I wipe the "paint" not yet dried through stencils to remove it and to reveal patterns ~
j'ai essuyé la "peinture" non encore sêche à travers des pochoirs pour l'oter et faire apparaitre des motifs
- 7/ I then reproduce my drawing on my background ~
je reproduis ensuite mon dessin sur mon arrière plan
- 8/ I apply 2-3 layers of gesso to isolate my characters from the background and I start coloring with my Neocolor II ~
j'applique 2-3 couches de gesso pour isoler mes personnages du fond et je commence la colorisation avec mes Neocolor II
