For the first time, Mr. Blinddraw is opening it up for submissions!
But this time, with a twist...
Celebrating the Style Inspiration
It all started while creating a self-portrait.
The Blinddraw art style came from literally closing the eyes during the creation of the artwork after viewing the art subject for a brief moment. Why? It encourages the artist to be even more uninhibited by disengaging with the sense of sight during creation. It frees the part of the artist that might be tempted to refine and correct.
The progression of Blinddraw then took on a new meaning of using the eyes but not letting the subject of the art see that the portrait is coming at all - a complete surprise. Sometimes, it comes within minutes of the art subject's post.
Next Portrait Series
Mr. Blinddraw is doing something a little different this time. The next few posts will go back to where the inspiration started and celebrate both meanings of Blinddraw. Portraits of Steemians will be created without sight and whoever is selected will not be revealed until the post is active (as always!).
