Back to work after my vacation, I was able to make this piece come together within a couple days.
In St. Thomas, we escaped the crawling trail of elderly rich people walking slowly in front of us everywhere by catching a cab to a downtown tourist location. The cabs in St. Thomas are superior to the cabs we have here in Canada.
1- They're made of reporposed pick-up trucks.
2- They exist where the whether is not cold.
After a dixie cup of rum each, we found the butterfly farm and took a stroll inside. Aside from being peaceful and beautiful, it was also educational. I learned that butterflies love drinking fermented fruit juice. Probably for the same reason that we do. They are also made of reformed caterpillar goo. If you open a chrysalis while the transformation is taking place (don't. You'll kill it.) you won't find a changing caterpillar. You'll find snot. When that snot grows wings and breaks free, it will remember life as a caterpillar. Amazing!
And thirdly, but sadly, the conservatory is not government funded. It is privately owned, and under-trammeled. These farms are increasingly important as populations dwindle. I highly recommend visiting one. Wear a bright colour and they might land on you. :)
