This is always done with the oldest wacom tablet in existence. It's a tank and has given me years of devoted nonstop service. I sketch first, get that composition to about 75% certain then I do after hard lines and colors.
Every character and item is in it's own layer group.
Then textures and lighting.
I changed my mind on the trees, I felt like pines fit the theme better.
For Instagram I split it into and made it into a multi post. The swipe slide feature connects them again on mobile decives.
