The GOES-R, (GEOSTATIONARY OPERATIONAL ENVIRONMENTAL SATELLITE — R SERIES) is a brand new joint space endeavor combing NASA (National Aeronautical and Space Administration) and NOAA (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration) together. GOES-R will gather real time data that will be used by both services to predict weather and planetary conditions in ways that have never been possible before.
The launch happened on November 19, 2016 and is a major leap forward in conventional space exploration, providing 34 separate weather and atmospheric data products available to the scientific community at large.
The following are some architectural sketch renders I did from official NASA and US Governmental photos.
