This month the topic of the Art Talk posts has been Madonna and Child. Madonna being Mary and the child being Christ.
For the Madonna and Child Tour of the National Gallery of Art in DC I highlighted pieces from 1280- 1528 in Italy and Germany. Then I highlighted Fra Lippo Lippi and Albrecht Durer.
In this post I want to show mother and child in the art I have seen in museums, churches, and gardens and the art that I have made in through my photographs... of mothers with their child.

One of my favorite artist that has a large collection of mother and child pieces is Henry Moore.

And probably the most famous Madonna and Child- Michangelo's Pieta
For those Impressionist fans a Claude Monet of his wife and son and a Morisot of her mother and sister.
