| A small village in Podillia, in the Ternopil region. It was founded in the 14th century. Owned by Polish nobles, then Lithuanian princes, then Turks and Austrians. | Невелике село на Поділлі, в Тернопільській області. Засноване у 14 ст., ним володіли то польські шляхтичі, то литовські князі, то турки, то австрійці. |
| Its economic upturn is obliged to trade, as it was on the trade route between Lviv and Moldova. | Своїм розквітом завдячує торгівлі, оскільки був розташований на торговому шляху між Львовом та Молдавією. |
| The hill on the outskirts of the village was as if created for the construction of the temple. First there was a Catholic wooden church, then a Dominican church in the style of late Gothic and Renaissance. | Пагорб на околиці села був наче створений для побудови храму. Спочатку там був католицький дерев’яний костел, потім домініканський костел у стилі пізньої готики і ренесансу. |
| In 1788, he became an Austrian warehouse; in 1830, he again began to conduct public celebrating Mass. | У 1788 році він перетворився на австрійський склад, у 1830 в ньому знову розпочаласися богослужіння. |
| Now the building is completely abandoned. It collapses and overgrown with trees and weeds. Її вигляд викликає і захоплення, і жаль, і, чесно кажучи, сором. |
| Inside, everything was heavily overgrown with bushes and tall, man hight nettles. On the walls and in the window openings grow trees. | Всередині всe сильно заросло кущами і високою, в людський зріст кропивою. На стінах і на місці вікон ростуть дерева. |
| Since everything looks very crashed, we had to walk very carefully. On the narrow semicircular staircases you can climb the bell tower. But not to the very top. | Оскільки все виглядає дуже аварійно, ми ходили дуже обережно. По вузеньких напівуцілілих сходах можна піднятись на дзвінницю. Щоправда, не на самий верх. |
| We came here by our own car twice: in 2015 and 2017. And did not see any visible changes. | Ми приїздили сюди на власному авто двічі: у 2015 і 2017. Особливих змін ми не побачили. |
| But obviously, despite the destruction, for somebody this place still remains holy... | Але очевидно, що усупереч руйнуванням, для когось це місце все ще залишається святим... |
