Share My Bag....Prepare To Be Shell Shocked!

As an online seller and auction attendee, the contents of my handbag can be...odd. (To say the least!) I'm not sure who launched the #sharemybag initiative I saw a while ago on Steemit, but I remembered it when I put a LIVE WW2 shell into my handbag a couple of days ago.

Admittedly, I have a habit of tossing everything into my handbag, that is why I try to keep it small and it should preferably be made of leather. Small to limit the items it can contain (sort of, I have found a lot can still be fit in!) and leather so it is strong. I've lost count of the handbags I have broken. My husband calls my handbag the black hole and ventures into its contents with the utmost trepidation.

My husband showed me the live WW2 shell he found in one of his auction boxes and wondered what he should do with it. It definitely can't be sold the way it is. I will most certainly not be taking a trip to our local jail if it is discovered in the post. Anyway, with my vivid imagination, I have visions of blowing up an entire post office in the most spectacular fashion (yes, with just one old shell). I told my husband that my friend might know someone who could disarm it. She did and said she would collect it shortly. It is still on my desk at work, hopefully not about to blow up my shop (and me) in a most impressive manner.

Once it is disarmed, I suspect I will get a good price for it. Collectors of military related items are the most on the ball collectors there are. I can list them with confidence, knowing that I am probably getting a fair price (as they are almost always bid up) even though I don't have an in depth knowledge of the subject.

My husband also bought this rather large brass shell casing, about 60cm high, weighing 7kg. These are extremely popular as they are used as golf club/walking stick/umbrella holders.

I briefly mentioned in one of my previous blogs that I found the interesting military badges that the ever sneaky Trevor tried to hide, and made sure I got them. Take that Trevor! Below are my finds! All these items are for sale. Request the links to the online auction if you need them in the comments.
