I was just reading @teamsteem's post , which included this video from 2014 featuring a bearded Dan .. And I've gotta say - Bring Back the Beard! :)
I know its really none of my business, and I'm really not trying to make you feel self conscious mate - but if I had zero prior knowledge and had to make a snap judgement I would 100% choose the character on the right to invest in every time.
This is probably just my own bias coming through here - I'm personally looking somewhere between Robin Williams in Jumanji and Jack Black (below, but without the 'stache) .
I'm also pretty fortunate to not currently have to publicly represent anything other then myself - but I feel like the days where businessmen/srs types have to be clean shaven to be "presentable" have passed. I think it shows character.
Also, If you really wanna go down the rabbit hole, some even believe that the hair acts as a sort of antannae for extrasensory perception! I haven't dared to completely clean shave since I restarted experimenting with remote viewing and psychic communications so I can't really compare tbh - but a quick look through the history books will show many examples of "enlightened" people with crazy beards :P
On the opposite side of that psychic antennae thought - consider that one of the first things militaries around the world do as part of their generally "ego breakdown and rebuild" / brainwashing / training is to strip everyone back to a buzzcut.
To be honest, I'm not really sure where I'm going with this. I ate a massive amount of chilli noodles and I'm fighting off a food coma and procrastinating by photoshopping beards onto Dan - see ?
