Our female Caroline duck hatch eggs. The happy father in the meantime protects her and the nest. Just like the males of the Mandarin duck, the males of the Caroline duck have bright plumage. But this is only until the autumn. In autumn they grow and become ordinary gray ducks. But by spring, the males will again "dress" in a bright feather to conquer their ladies.
