Good things come to those who wait
See, one of the best ways to become a better blogger is to write more. With each new post, we learn to spot our mistakes sooner and increase the quality of our writing. One of the things I do is to let my prospective posts simmer before publishing them. You can't imagine how many times a killer line has come to me because I waited.

Write something new every day
If you're into fitness, you know that more exercise improves your overall health. The same thing happens with our blogs. Write something, anything and do it every day. You don't have to publish everything, just get into the habit of putting words on that screen and watch your posts get better and better. Daily blogging helps to hone your skills and spark fresh ideas.
I tend to keep several unfinished posts around and add a bit to them from time to time. This gives me something to tinker with when I can't create something in an instant. You'd be surprised how many times this has caused me to think of a great paragraph after working on these orphan posts.
It's ok to mess up
We all learn by making mistakes, so don't worry if you're not writing your magnum opus. No one is going to see your work until you publish it, which is another reason not to rush it out as I mentioned earlier. Let your creation breathe for a bit, a little time away allows you to recharge the "idea factory" in your head.
The important thing is to have fun! You're taking that blank square on the screen and blogging to entertain, inform and inspire! What tips have you learned to take your blog to the next level?
