Hi to all my fellow Steemians, I was tagged by @seyiodus in her entry to the fun challenge titled The Love it/Shove it Challenge, created by @snowpea.

You can find the explanation to this challenge here but basically, we all list 5 things we both love and and loathe. This challenge is a way to get to know each other better. Remember to use the tag #loveitshoveit and nominate a few of your fav Steemians.

Love It!

  • Sunsets at sea - this ties in with my passion and hobby of scuba diving. There is nowhere I would rather be than kicking back with a beer on a dive boat watching the sun go down in pastel shades. No where else on earth does the sun kiss the horizon so, than when you're out at sea.

  • Diving - anyone who has read my blog has probably come across one of my scuba scribe posts. I am never happier than beneath the waves, floating on the breath of the tide. Scuba or free-diving make me feel free, an escape from life that can't be beaten.

  • Music - listening to it, playing it on my guitar. Nothing heals the soul like music. Music can give you that boost you need, when hammering the keys on the keyboard to reach a deadline. Or it can lull you to sleep, place you in that soporific state where thoughts cease and contentment rests.

  • Exercise - the buzz that I get from walking the hills, cycling round my home city or swimming a mile or two in the local pool, is one of my favorite feelings. I can't stand the gym though, as long as it's exercise with a purpose, a journey or swimming which fulfills my yearning for the sea when I can't get to the coast or out beneath the waves.

  • Food - ha ha, I probably like my food a little too much 😉 I really dig the sense of accomplishment of cooking a complicated recipe, or like tonight, just throwing together a favorite comfort food dish. Lasagna has just gone in the oven.

Loathe It!

  • Trolls - by this I mean people who argue for the sake of argument. Manipulators in general. When I spot one, I leave the scene of their crime. Rarely can you get any decent conversation out of them as what it boils down to is them feeding their ego.

  • Thieves - I can't stand thieves of any kind. Having experienced my home broken into, bike stolen, mugged when I was an adolescent, all I can say is thieves watch out. I learnt four different martial arts as a teenager and young adult just to know how to deal with scumbags like these.

  • Courgettes - Ha ha, time to get a little less serious! I haven't been able to palate them ever sinse I was a child. Most things I hated as a child I grew into eating as my taste buds changed... but the sorry cousin to the cucumber will always remain off the menu.

  • Lazy buggers - don't know what to say. There is nothing worse than people who take the mickey in a group situation. People who do as little as possible at the expense of others.

  • The bleeding wet, freezing weather where I come from - I recently discovered I have vitamin D deficiency and the doctor has now given me pills for it. I blame the weather here in the Northern Hemisphere 😅

To help spread this getting to know you vibe, I'd like to tag some of my favorite peeps: @lavidaesunviaje @buttcoins @mariannewest @misterakpan. Photo from pixabay.com, free to use.
