Well, it's been a while. I mean not only writing this book, which basically took 4 years, since I started to run, but also the whole launching and promotion thing. But now it's finally paying off: Running For My Life is available on Amazon, in kindle and paperback format. The price is the same, $8.99, for any of them.
Training for ultra-marathons has this very interesting side effect: it increases your resilience in parts of your life you least expect it. Like in writing, for instance. Since you can train to cover 100 miles in one day, why won't you be able to consistently write 2 articles per day on Steemit, for instance? Or, in our case, why won't you be able to put together a book describing this entire experience, from not being able to run more than 300 meters, to finishing 48-hour races?
Yes, ultra-running helped me in more than one way. I'm very grateful for this.
Well, my part here is done. From now on, it's your turn. If you find the book interesting, inspiring or at least useful, somehow, I'll be very happy. If you know someone who'd benefit from it and you'll forward the book to them, I'll also be grateful. If you don't like it, that's ok too, we don't have to agree on everything. At least I tried :).
Now, before ending this topic on Steemit, I just want to paste a screenshot of my first review:
It's even more interesting that the reviewer, whom I never met, mentions Rich Roll, because just a few months ago I reviewed for a local website in Romania one of his books, The Ultra Man. Funny how these things happen :)
P.S. Some of you asked if they can buy the book with SBD. The answer was "yes" at that time, but now I enrolled the book in KDP select, which means it will be exclusive for Amazon for the next 3 months. So the "yes" gets a "yes, but" addition: "yes, but you'll have to wait 3 months". Meanwhile, you can just buy it now, directly from Amazon:
