Books, Books, and more Books - An Entry to the "What's in Your Library?" Challenge

In the last few days I've curated several entries to @wizardave's "What's in Your Library?" challenge and I figured I might as well create a challenge entry (even though I don't want the prize) Unfortunately it's night where I live, so the pictures are suffering in the lighting department 😛. I did a little tweaking on the colors and the lighting of the images, so hopefully they'll look somewhat presentable...

I don't have a huge library 'cause money and space (someday when I buy my own house I'm planning to fill it with bookcases and books) but I do own a few favorites that I've found at low prices. So lets go window bookshelf shopping!

This cubbyhole/shelf contains a few war books: Fighter a book about the Battle of Britian, Code Talker a book about the Navajos (you guess what they did) in WW2, and Return with Honor a book about a fighter pilot shot down over Bosnia. It also contains my Tolkien collection 😍 I bought the LOTR hardback online new but The Silmarillion and Smith of Wooton Major & Farmer Giles of Ham I picked up at thriftstores. They're older editions but still in really good shape and look pretty cool.

Now I just need a copy of Leaf by Niggle, The Children of Huren and Beren and Luthien 😝

This next row hated its picture being taken, so sorry about that. It contains a lot of old library copies of G. A. Henty books. I loved his books growing up and read over 41 of them. Some of my favorites are Beric the Briton, In Freedom's Cause, A Girl of the Commune, and Saint Bartholomew Eve. Also on this shelf is a book about the Flying Tigers that I've had forever and haven't read forever.

This one has some of my favorite YA books. The Rick Brant series is kinda like the Hardy boys but more realistic in injuries and like Tom Swift but less sci-fi gadgets and more practical science gadgets. I love these books! ❤ About half of them are in the public domain and can be downloaded for free. They're not that easy to find as hard-copies so I'm super glad to have these. Then there's Wind in the Willows which is the best animal book ever. One of those books that warms your heart. Also on this shelf is a interesting book about the sinking of the USS Indianapolis, The Book of Southern Wisdom (a book full of quotes) and a copy of The Elements of Style by Strunk and White (someday I'm gonna read it). Below them (though you can't really see it) is An Easier Way to Learn Javascript which I also need to read someday.

I tried taking pictures of my two giant hardbacks, one of which is about the Battle of Britian and the other about Erwin Rommel, but the picture turned out absolutely terrible 😢 (even worse then the previous ones)

Anyway... those are my books! Not that many for a bookworm like me but I like to eat books do most of my reading digitally. Let me know if you've read any of these and enjoyed them! Meanwhile, I better do some studying (or procrastinate and read 📚)

Oh, and I nominate @thisbejake, @bookleaf and @ravenruis to join in the fun if they aren't busy reading.
