When @PlayDice was started, the liquid portion of the author rewards was only being paid out in SBD, and this was easy enough to share with the winners of each game. As it turns out (for reasons you can read up on in the white paper), post rewards could also be paid out in STEEM. At some point a few weeks ago, the STEEM portion of these liquid rewards was almost double the SBD payout. The way @PlayDice was (still is) coded, only the SBD portion of the rewards is being shared with each winner.
This doesn't seem totally fair to the people willing to part with their upvotes, so @BraaiBoy decided to share the liquid STEEM portion of the payout as well... WHAT A NICE GUY, RIGHT? Why not head over to his blog and go check out some of his videos ;-) /ShamelessPunt
STEEM rewards now shared with winners too!
@BraaiBoy could have just changed the @PlayDice code to distribute the liquid STEEM in the same manner as the SBD rewards... but where's the fun in that? Instead of just divvying up the STEEM like the SBD was, the STEEM will be accumulated and (approximately) once a week a random draw will be held for loyal @PlayDice supporters. These lucky winners will then receive a @SteemBasicIncome share... A nice little gift that will keep on giving.
But wait... there's a twist...
Instead of just rewarding the person(s) that played the most games for the previous 7 days, the "lottery"/random draw will favour players that have played the most and lost.
How?
Every day, the top 10 players from the previous day are giving 1 "ticket" for the @SteemBasicIncome draw... BUT then for every game that person won, 1 ticket is taken away.
... for example
@amico played played 10 games yesterday, but won 7 of them, thus giving them 3 chances to win a share, whereas @jlsplatts played 10 as well, but only won 3, giving them 7 chances to win a @SteemBasicIncome share.
That's nice, but cut to the chase and tell us who won!
For the period 3rd July - 9th July a total of 2.68 Liquid STEEM was paid out, which is enough for 2 @SteemBasicIncome shares, and the loyal @PlayDice pundits to receive those shares are...

P.s.
