Today's episode comes promptly after yesterdays episode, which it is an extension of. I felt this was necessary as I missed a few points in episode seven, due to the low light setting I was filming in previously.
The leaves turning purple is a totally normal reaction for this time of year. It should be expected any time your plants endure temperatures lower than 45 degrees fahrenheit. This happens in the northwest as fall approaches, since some nights drop below 45 degrees.
I also discuss my mold prevention method of covering the plants, which shields them from rain. Sometimes the addition of a couple fans in a covered area can improve airflow, and prevent moisture buildup inside your covered area as well.
I also demonstrate how the smaller of the two in ground plants has fallen over, despite it having the same type of support as its bigger neighboring sister.
Speaking of its neighboring sister, the biggest plant in this garden has more tops than I can count at this point, and will likely be my most successful backyard plant. I also show the importance of removing big leaves that are blocking the light from getting to colas underneath them.
