In my previous post on Cars in the Park I showed photos of a Talbot Today I will focus on classic air cooled VW's. There are always a huge number of old VW's at these shows.
For most types of cars, you get a number of schools of thought. You get the people who love to restore cars to original condition, then you get believers that believe the cars should be original and not restored, then there are the people who modify cars and then there are the guys and girls who like the rat look. With the old air-cooled VW's you get them all.
Below is an example of an un-restored original.
Below is a split window camper.
Below is a beautiful cabriolet.
An entire row of Karmann Ghia's.
Below is a rare Karmann Ghia type 3.
A 4X4 Beetle on a Pajero chassis.
This guy think the sun will damage the highly polished paint of his car, thus he parks under a gazebo.
Another fine example of a Beetle.
A shortened Beetle, with nice paint work.
The red one is my 1968 fastback.
This is just some of the Beetles present on the day, you can find almost any make of car at Cars in the Park, and it is always a very nice event to attend.
All photos were taken by me, with my iPhone.
