Sometimes, children amaze me.
Earlier this morning, @papa-pepper was taking a walk with his @little-peppers. He noticed that Sweet-Pepper had on some rain boots. It was not raining, and the day was starting to get warmer out. He asked her is if she had on socks, because he figured she did not and that her feet may get extra sweaty and stinky without them.
Little Sweet-Pepper said that she did not have on any socks. Suddenly, Red-Pepper said, "She can have some of mine!" @Papa-pepper replied, "Do you have extra one with you?" Obviously he thought that this was not probable.
However, Red-Pepper responded, "Yes!" Then she sat down, took off her boots, and removed a pair of socks from her feet, which, incredibly, still left a pair of socks on her feet. Sweet-Pepper then sat down and put the socks on...
Dumbfounded, @papa-pepper wondered what he had just witnessed. As it turns out, Sweet-Pepper was wearing some boots that she had received from her big sister, Pinkie-Pepper. Without any help from @mama-pepper or @papa-pepper, Red-Pepper had figured out that by wearing two pairs of socks, the boots fit much better!

What an interesting morning, and what a magnificent glimpse into the wonderful world of children.
