Welcome back to Unlocking the Power of Chrome. It is the first day of May and I can't believe it, but they say it is supposed to get up to 80 degrees today.
There are many Chrome extensions that give you capture and sharing capabilities. I have covered a few of them over the past couple of months in this series.
Today, I am going to cover another one of them. This one has so many features that you may be able to replace some of your other ones.
Take a look and see if this is something you could find yourself using.
Awesome Screenshot
The extension that I am going to be covering today is called Awesome Screenshot.
You can add it to your browser by visiting the Chrome Webstore here.
Awesome Screenshot has many features:
Capture a whole webpage or just part of it
Edit the capture in several different ways(annotations, comments, blur unwanted parts)
Easy one click sharing to many different sites
Some of the more advanced features of Awesome Screenshot used to be part of a premium service that you had to pay for. They have recently changed that policy and you now have full access to all features of the extension.
Not only can you capture individual screenshots using the software, you can also screencast and capture the full screen as video if you are doing a presentation or tutorial.
Give Awesome Screenshot a try and see if it is something that you will keep coming back to in your extension toolbox.
