As the saying goes, "Discretion is the better part of valor." Imp must be very valorous, because he is very, very discrete.

Fun facts!

  • The Arm & Hammer brand was created in 1846, though it wouldn't be until 1972 that the practice of keeping a box of baking soda in the fridge became widespread.
  • "Discretion is the better part of valor" alludes to a line by the Shakespearean character Falstaff, a famed coward of literary history. Most people use the idiom as a piece of wisdom, though at the time of its writing it was meant as a joke... a coward rationalizing his behavior.
  • Imp has studied the wisdom of Eddie Izzard and strives to be a likeable character in the "Falstaffian" tradition of Shaggy and Scooby. His core values revolve around cowardice and sandwiches... (or nuggets in Imp's case.)
