Hello Everyone and Welcome!
Here's my entry on @jacinta.sevilla's contest entitled "Easy Mini Contest 2" with the theme "Corn". A lot of steemians chose to make a doodle of their artwork. Corn that have faces, corn with a twist and corn characters. But for me, I love the corn itself. There is no better than the natural corn. So I made a Realistic Corn. 🌽🌽
As @jacinta.sevilla's requirement, I'll be showing the procedures on how I made my artwork. Here we go!!! 😁😎
Procedure
I made a sketch of my corn. I want it to be as genuine as possible, so believe it or not, I didn't use any reference to make my corn's sketch.
Then, I highlighted the corn's edges to show its realistic figure.
Next, I used yellow as the corn's base color.
Then, I used orange to make a shadow effect on the corn using a darker color than its base color.
After that, I used gold in the lower half part of the corn to show gradient and shine in the corn.
And for the dark part of the corn, I used brown.
Next, the cobs. I used yellow also as its base color to show its ripeness.
Then, to show if it is a cob, I used yellow green as its secondary color.
And I used green as its tertairy color.
Also, I used these three colors for the other corn cob.
Up next, the leaves. This time, I used yellow green as its base color, light green as the secondary color and green as its tertiary. I colored it wholely because it will be like the corn cob if I slightly color some part of it.
And I've done it also to the other leaves.
And the last part, its stalk. I just used 2 colors for it. The green and the blue green, to separate its color from the leaves. This will portray that this is the stalk.
For the finishing touches, I put some cob hairs for details.
And took a selfie with it! My corn-art output!
(Note: I put my username/IGN in my artwork so that there will be no plagiarism can be issued.)
That's all for now! Thank guys so much for stopping by! And thank you @jacinta.sevilla for conducting this contest. See you in ny next blog! I'm gonna be goin'. Sayonara! 😁
